Frankenmesh Coat and Tee

I have been a busy boy this holiday season. Along with everything I have done with my family, I have started to learn meshing. My first successful attempt was Frankensteining a SN jacket (the one with the rose) and a diesel tee together to get what you see below.

Fair warning, this is my first attempt at meshing. so it is not perfect. The main area of concern is the cuff when the wrist is at a hard angle, but I could live with it. There is also a funny shadow visible in CAS, but it is not present in game. If there is anything that is serious, feel free to message me with a picture link so I can see what it is. I have not encountered anything remotely unfavourable and that is why I am releasing it now.

On to the good stuff. There is 3 recolourable channels, the tee, the coat and the lapel. There are 4 preset styles as well as all morph states (except pregnancy which I can live without since this is a male mesh). It is located in everyday, formalwear, career and outerwear. The archive contains the sim3pack, package and preview picture. Just choose which method of installation you prefer and delete the other. This is also my 800 followers gift, so I hope you all enjoy it that little bit more. thank you to all those who find my posts interesting, I love you all long time <3

Christmas Gift - ZigZag Pattern Set 01

I wont be on much over the next week, but I wanted to put up a gift for all those simmers for Christmas. Here is a 12 pattern set of various zigzag patterns of different sizes, all found in the geometric category of CAS. The patterns have between 2 and 4 palettes. The archive contains both the package and sim3pack formats, so just choose which file type you prefer and delete the rest. I have also included the pictures so you can match up the names of the pattern files if you don't want to install them all.

Merry Christmas and have a happy New Year.

Pattern Tutorials

I have made some pattern tutorials for those that are interested in learning. They can be found on the left toolbar starting with the info-torials. There are 7 in total. I hope they can help any of you who are interested in learning to make recolourable patterns.

Peacock Pattern Set

I have not felt much like retexturing clothes (working on learning meshing), but I still love making patterns. So to mark 700 followers on tumblr, what is a better way to celebrate then to share some pattern love? The set contains 14 recolourable patterns ranging from 2 palettes up to 4 with most being 2. They are found in the themed category of CAS. The archive contains both the package and sim3pack files, so choose with method of installation you want and delete the others. If you don't like them all, I have also included the preview pictures so you can delete the pattern you don't like by matching the names up. Happy Simming to all :)

Stone Tile Pattern Set: Ribbon Stone

Hey everyone! It has been a while since I have done a full fledged stone tile pattern set. It is hard finding source images for stone patterns, but I found one ,made it seamless and did a gazillion (OK a bit of exaggeration, its only 12 :P ) variations for TS3. They include 2 seamless stone textures, great for counter tops, then 10, yes 10, stone patterns of varying styles. The stone has 2 recolourable palettes and look best in natural stone colours, while the tiles have an extra channel for the tile grout. The seamless stone is found in the Rock and Stone category while the tiles are found in the "Tile and Mosaic" category of CAS. The archive you download contains with the sim3pack and package files along with the preview images so you can pick and choose which patterns you want to install. I hope you enjoy :)

The Facade - A Modern Aussie Home

Well its been a while since I have shared a house (been super busy with cc and patterns lol ) but here it is. I found the plan for this on a facebook ad of all places, and knew I had to build it. I an really happy with the tiered design ans reminds me a lot of my build, Agave Sunrise, though it feels more Aussie then american used to the brick, render and feature brick walls.

PC Dr. Seuss Thing Onesies

Here is the second onesie style I designed with my retexture. I wanted them separate from the simple design (found here). Again, thanks to aikea guinea at Club Crimsyn (and tumblr) for allowing me to use her altered mesh which I retextured to give this design variation (you can find the original here). The onesie has 4 recolourable channels with 4 stencils and located in everyday, formal and sleepwear. I have altered the pattern tiling, as with my plain version, to make the patterns appear smaller when used on the clothing. The archive contains the sim3pack and package files, so choose which you prefer to use. I hope you enjoy them as much as my toddlers :)

Suits Me Pose Set

Well, here is my latest pose set. This was designed for one of my facebook friends, Titus Linde, who showed pictures of some guys in suits and was asking anyone to make their poses. I added a few, tweaked them, and here they are. A total of 8 poses for your manly, suit-wearing men. The poses are pose player compatible, but the archive also contains the codes on the picture and in a word document. I hope you like them as much as I do and I hope you enjoy :)

PC Unisex Onesie

Well, I don't really play the game that much, but when I do, I tend to make what I need as well as downloading stuff, because a lot of what is out there isn't quite what I had in mind, or is themed in such a way its off-putting, or is not recolourable, or on the odd occasion, not weird enough. Anyway, this is one of those times. I found a striped onesie that I wanted to make and the game mesh just wouldn't do. Who puts a collar on a onesie for toddlers? Really, I want to know who. So I got the approval of aikea guinea at Club Crimsyn (also on tumblr if you are a fanatic like me ;) ) to use her altered mesh which I retextured to give this design (you can find the original here). The onesie has 4 recolourable channels and located in everyday, formal and sleepwear. and I have altered the pattern tiling to make the patterns appear smaller when used on the clothing. The outfit can be found in  The archive contains the sim3pack and package files, so choose which you prefer to use. I hope you enjoy them as much as my toddlers :)

Tile Pattern Set 01

Well, here is another pattern set I have been working on, it consists of 10 2-palette recolourable patterns found in the tile category of CAS. Most as size variations for those that like that sort of stuff (like me). There really isn't much more to say. The archive contains both the package files and the sim3packs, as it have come to my attention that there are people that like to install patterns as package files. Since I test them in that format, I thought I would include them as well. I have also included the preview pictures so you can pick and choose which patterns you want if you don't like all the patterns.

PC Denim Walk Shorts

Well I have been working on this as a followers gift for a while, trying to get it right, messing with the texture and stuff, encountering problems, and trying to work around them. So this is the final product, a pair of basegame compatible denim shorts found in everyday, athletic, swimwear and career categories. There are 4 recolourable channels, the base colour of the shorts, the distressed details, the belt and buckle. The archive contains both the sim3pack and package files, so choose your preferred method of installation :)

PC Casual Open Shirt

Ok, I just want to say this first off, I am so happy with this shirt, my sims are wearing it all the time and it suits the summer weather I am getting here. It's a nice change of all the cold weather clothing I am seeing right now which makes me feel like I am overheating. Anyway the shirt is basegame compatible and found in everyday, sleepwear, swimwear and athletic.  The mesh is from the 70/80/90 stuff pack and the addition of the shirt underneath is a big improvement. There are 3 recolourable channels, 5 stencils and 6 styles. Both the sim3pack and package files are included in the archive. I hope you enjoy as much as I do :)

Diamond Pattern Set 01

Here is another pattern set for you all. As you can tell, I love patterns, but I love them even more if they are recolourable. So I made some more with a diamond them to them. They range from 2 to 4 recolourable palettes with 12 patterns in total in the set. Some are size variations of one another because it is nice to have that when decorating. The folder contains the sim3pack files (which can be converted to package files with the multi-extractor) and the preview pictures with the names if there are any you don't want to install. I hope you enjoy :)

PC Shawl Collar Jacket

An anonymous person asked if my casual suit could be separated, and I thought it couldn't, not without editing the mesh. I thought about it more and came up with a new design on a different mesh. It used a UL mesh converted to basegame and redesigned the multiplier, mask and other files to give this shawl collar jacket. It has 3 recolourable channels, the jacket, shirt and jacket detail and is available in everyday and formal-wear. The archive contains both sim3pack and package files, so choose what method of installation you would like.

StoneyBrook Barn

Inspired by a real-life home, this is a barn conversion with a modern twist. It was really enjoyable to make and even though it modern, still a challenge or me to decorate. I built it in Hidden Springs, but it does not contain any world content, so you are free to put it anywhere your heart desires. It is a small house though, so don't expect to raise a large family here.

400 Followers Gift - Random Pattern Pack 01

I am so grateful to find 400 people who find my sims activity interesting, and I am marking the occasion with this random pattern pack of 10 patterns found in the abstract category of CAS. all but the diamond patterns have 2 recolourable palettes, while the diamond patterns have 3. The archive contains a folder and the preview pictures (which are shown here too) so if you want to delete any, you can by matching the names up.

Halloween Gift - Fallen Angel Pose Pack

Hey everyone! This is a pose pack I have been using and tweaking for a few weeks and finally have the time to upload it, just in time as a treat for Halloween. The pack contains 13 poses, 11 individual and 1 couple pose. They are pose player compatible and the archive contains the preview pictures (also after the jump)and a notepad document of the poses if you want to put them in manually. I hope you enjoy :)

Breast Cancer Awareness Month - Set of Demask Patterns

Over at The Simmers Society, a decorating challenge is posted regularly, and this month was the theme "think pink", which I designed an open plan room and entered it into the challenge (you can find my entry here). The theme was quite inspiring, and I made 12 patterns to use. This is not directly affiliated with the breast cancer foundation, but I feel that we can all do our part to make people aware of the risks of cancer and not paying attention to the warning signs. So by making these, I hope people think of the importance of early detection and how this colour has become the symbol to all those woman who have fought this deadly disease. On top of that, you now have 12 recolourable patterns (don't worry, if you don't like pink, I wouldn't torture you that much ;) )found in the abstract section of CAS mode. The archive contains the sim3pack files (no packages, I think patterns are better off installed through the launcher) and the description pictures so if you don't like them all, you can delete the patterns you don't like by matching the names up. So I hope you enjoy these patterns while I was feeling sentimental and melancholy.

PC Semi-Formal Suit

Here is a full outfit I have been working on. Its just a re-texture of a High End Loft Stuff outfit, but I have redesigned the overlay files (multiplier, mask, specular and normalmap) from its humble (and slightly unattractive) origins. The suit is found in everyday, formal and outwear, these were the most suitable categories. There are 4 recolourable channels; the tee, jacket, lapel and jeans. I would have liked to make the top separate, but alas, I need to learn to do that. Anyway, the archive contains the sim3pack and package formats so choose your method of installation.

Brenna Farmhouse

Brenna farmhouse is a build I keep wanting to upload, but life gets in the way. So I have finally set time aside to write up this blog post! This is an A-frame house (as seen with the roofline) giving a cozy feeling in the rooms on the first floor. With a twist on country chic, it offers something to those sims who don't like modern houses, and want something a bit more homely.

PC Rocky Horror Picture Show outfit

Hey everyone! This is an edit of the MS corset outfit for men I have altered to remove some of the more disturbing parts and simplify it, as well as making it base game. I am really happy with how it has turned out, and just in time for Halloween ;)

The outfit is only available for everyday clothing and not enabled for random sims, so you shouldn't have a heart attack seeing a townie strutting their stuff down the street in this ensemble. There are 4 recolourable channels and the stocking are transparent fishnet design. I was unable to remove the collar (I have to edit the mesh which I have not idea to do and therefore will not do) so its there as a compromise. The archive contains both the sim3pack and package formats, so choose your poison. I hope you enjoy (and laugh at your sims as much as I have) with this outfit.

Note: If you want to know about the high heels for men, check them out over at Cupcakes Taste Like Violence

300 Followers Gift - Black & White Flowers

Hi all! Well I just reached another milestone on tumblr and though I would commemorate the occasion with these monochromatic flower pictures. There are 5 styles per picture, with 2 recolourable channels, the frame and paper inset. The archives contain both the package and sim3pack files, so choose your method of installation. I hope you enjoy :)

PC Rocker Jacket

Here is a retexture and basegame conversion of a LN jacket I did for my game. I really liked the base jacket, but hated the stencil and thought the jacket would look good with a rougher texture. I wish I could have got rid of the v-neck, but unfortunately I need to alter the mesh by the looks of it, which I don't have the skills to do. Anyway I still like it and thought I would share with you all. the jacket can be found in the everyday, formal, career and outerwear categories of CAS. The archive, like always, contains both the sim3pack and package file formats, so choose 1 to install.

Rocky Horror Family Portrait Pose Set

Here is a pose pack I have been working on for a week or so. With Halloween on the horizon, one of my dearest friend's enthusiasm for Halloween has rubbed off, and from that came this set of poses. Based on the cult classic, I tried to impart some of each of the characters into the poses for this fun pose pack. They are designed to go around the basegame "Bracken Living Room Chair" in the picture. The poses are locked to that centre tile where the chair is, so you shouldn't need to manually move them, unless you want to tweak the positions yourself. The poses could also be used separately too. The archive contains a folder which has the pictures for reference and codes if you want to access the poses via the name rather then the pose player.

PC Muscle Tank Top

Here is a little edit I did. I am really not a fan of the Muscle Tank Top from base game, so I made this one. 2 recolourable channels. I really like the black a cyan coloured combo the most. This is base game compatible and is found in Everyday and Athletic categories. The archive contains both the sim3pack and package files, so just extract and choose your method of installation.

Corinthian Modern

Hi all! Its been a while since I have shared a build with you all, and today I bring you a modern build that utilises some architectural elements commonly found on classic builds. This was a little challenge I set for myself to see if it could actually be done without looking tacky. I think it turned out really well, and I hope you do too. The house is situated on a 40x40 lot and the pictures were taken in hidden Valley, however it is suited to any neighbourhood. It looks ok in Lucky Palms, but looks a little out of place is its not placed in the oasis area of the world.

200 Followers Gift - 12 Geometric Patterns

Well I have gotten 200 people following me on tumblr (YAY!!!! thankyou all so much), so I decided to mark the occasion  by putting up 12 new geometric patterns. The consist of a mish-mash of different types, but all are 2 palette, completely recolourable patterns found in the geometric category of CASt. I have separated them into individual styles and appended the pictures so you know what you are getting. They are supplied as sim3pack files, so just extract the the files from the archive and choose the ones you want.

PC Boardshorts 02

Here is a new set of clothing I have designed for my sims. I like the IP boardshorts but I really hate stencils since they aren't recolourable. So I took the second style of boardshorts, converted to base-game and designed new masks to give 5 different styles with 4 recolourable channels. So what I ended up with is the styles you see below. They are found in everyday, swimwear and athletic categories. The download contains both the sim3pack and package files, so extract the archive and choose one method of installation.

Hillcrest Cove: A World that is Finally Finished

Yes, it is finally finished. I have lost count how many years I have spent looking at this world, sometimes in awe and sometimes with great resentment. Well it is finally finished (or at least meeting my minimum requirements for what I think finished should be). It is not perfect, the usable space is small with the landscape dictating the design of the world. However I still love it, and I hope you all do too, even if many may not forgive the time it has taken for me to overcome the relentless frustration I have experienced creating this world. Hillcrest cove is classed as a large world (2048x2048) with 112 lots, both community and residential (53 community, 59 residential), with 21 of those lots being vacant. It was named after the mound found in the centre of the map in the Hillcrest reservoir. Nestled into the rolling hills, the lush landscaping and the mixture of ash, cottonwood and chestnut livens up the scenery. This was vision of the perfect world for me and the closest I came to making it reality.

"Hillcrest Cove is a place that brings together many different types of people from rural farmers to city socialites in a setting that is both functional and awe inspiring. Whether you settle in Jelly Palm Bay, Central district or Westpoint Valley, you can enjoy the entire town and what it has to offer. With amenities for all from the Lusty Georgian maid tavern to the ominous Dragon's lair, you wont be bored here. Hillcrest Cove has been a project town for many years and is finally complete, so I hope you all come to visit this special town and what it has to offer."

PC Baggy Tank Top

T had this design on the base game mesh and it looked ok, but once IP come around. the layered tank was just screaming for this to happen. So here is my latest piece of clothing. It may not be to everyone's taste and may not be perfect, but i like it and its 4 channels with 3 dedicated to the gradient tank. I think the bagginess really works for this mesh too. So as i said, the tank has 4 recolourable channels with 5 presets, found in everyday, athletic and sleepwear. The archive contains both sim3pack and package formats.

Hargrave's Farm - For BnS 213-214

Hi everyone! here is a build I have been wanting to do for a little while, a barn house, and BnS had a farm challenge on, so I decided to enter it for fun. The house is quite quaint and built on a 40x40 lot with sloping ceilings and a rustic (unusual for me) interior and a well landscaped exterior. It costs $138,060 so it comfortably comes into the $200,000 maximum cost limit. I hope you enjoy as much as I enjoyed building it :)

PC Stonewashed Jeans

Here is a little edit I did. I really wanted to mesh on the the rockstar career outfits to remove the scarf, but unfortunately that's out of my grasp right now, I just wouldn't know where to start. However, I loved the jeans and decided to use them on another mesh from the game. So here are some base game jeans with 3 colourable channels; the jeans, belt and buckle. They can be found in everyday, formal, career and outerwear. I have made 5 pre-made styles. The archive contains both the sim3pack and the package files, so only choose 1 to install.

Kaufmann Desert House

Here is another old WIP I have finally finished and decided to upload. This 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom house is based on the real life home of the same name. The original was built by Richard Neutra for Edgar J. Kaufmann Sr. who also commissioned Fallingwater by Frank Lloyd Wright. The Kaufmann Desert House is a great example of "International Style Architecture". The house is recognised as one of the most important houses of the 20th century in the US. I love Frank Lloyd Wright, so it was inevitable I would move on to another designer of the same period. The house is on a 50x50 lot and can be placed on any of those in Lucky Palms (which is needed for the landscaping) or you can place a custom lot in any other worlds or if none are available.

Ashgrovia - A Queenslander

This is a more recent build i have created, based on the queenslander house style found here in Australia. With the pillar foundation and latticework, it its as close to the real deal I can make in TS3. This is based on a legacy house I made when the Pets EP came out but I built it on a smaller lot and re-jigged the layout. The lot is 30x40 and no cc was used in its creation.

PC V-kneck Tee 01

Here is another Tee I have been messing around with. Its an edit of a diesel tee converted to basegame with edited multiplier and mask layers. I spent so long trying to get the multiplier to stop being pixelated, but then I realised this is a common problem and stopped freaking out so much. I still freaked out, but I managed to get something with very little pixelation. The tee is supplied in 5 styles on the one mesh and found in everyday and athletic. The archive contains both the sim3pack and package file.
