Adventure Awaits Buildmode Expanded

It feels strange that the last post here was back in October. Life sure has a way of, you know, getting in the way. But I can't think of a better way to start off with an addon that has royally kicked my ass because I couldn't say no to adding to every item. That is Adventure Await. I really love the concept of the items, but personally I think there were too may styles. My motto is if you need to be able to build a home with just one of the styles, and you could only do that with one of them. Away, that should be fixed now.

Whispers Expanded - Unofficial Businesses and Hobbies Addon with 24 Items

 

 

I really like the town in the new expansion, and love some of the architectural styles they have created. However, I felt the square windows a bit plain, so in comes some curves to spice it up! I did add some other squared off variants as well, just for continuity, as well as some short/medium door options (tall was just out of the question, looked weird). I will probably do another addon down the road for the other style, but this is a good start.

Everlasting Doors - Unofficial Addon for Life and Death

When I had early access, I was very pleased with how well-rounded the buildmode was, except for one obvious omission; a door to match the amazing greenhouse windows. So I had to rectify that, and now I am really happy to be able to have matching doors.

Ranch Expanded - Unofficial Buildmode Addon with 64 new items

It's finally done! This is why I tend to break up addons with multiple core styles; things get out of hand if I don't. And oh boy, did it get waaaay out of hand for Horse Ranch. Three core styles that were not fleshed out enough for my liking, and one without any corresponding doors or arches makes Peacy go overboard with filling the gaps. I am really happy with how it all turned out, and i am particularly in love with the open bifold doors I made, but i think I my eyes need a break from them for a while. Luckily you all won't have that problem, so build away!

Bistro Expanded - Addon with 22 New items

I really love Cozy Bistro Kit, but unfortunately, it doesn't cater well to other wall heights. Although I could really only edit the window and doorways up to medium height, with the use of friezes which pair well with this architectural type, there is far more use in the kit than ever before. Definitely one of my favourite kits to date, so i hope you enjoy the addon.

Peak of Modern - Growing Together Buildmode Expanded

 

Finally got the motivation to start on addons again, and I thought I would start with a deceptively easy one, didn't turn out that way though. But now I have a set of 45 degree clerestory windows, a modular set of clerestory windows, new custom front door and a bunch of variants of the original designs. Going to be a lot of customisation option now, which I love. 

Well Crafted Expanded - 42 New Build Items For Growing Together

This addon was probably the single most requested I have ever had. Even before the pack released I was being asked about an addon. Once i got my hands on it, I could see why. I have done my best to expand upon the items, but some requested additions just weren't possible, such as medium height doors and arches. I don't see this as a big loss as I believe the short doors are in proportion to sims and still look fine on medium walls (which I predominantly work with) so i am overall happy with how it turned out. 

Cottage Living: Grand Henford Addon

 

Going to be brutally honest; I can't even use the stone windows from Cottage Living. Their scale is completely off and you would have thought they were a grand window, but they just lack the size. I had to fix it. So I enlarged them by about 50% and added more grand sizes. The lack of a matching door also bugged me, so I stripped the stone off the one design, made is simple, and designed a surround as an option. Also made a surround for the larger door as well. Now I have a set that is going to be perfect for manor builds without being lost on the walls. 

Country Crafter - Nifty Knitting-Inspired Buildmode Set

A brand new year, and a brand new set of buildmode items to share. Nifty Knitting was one of the more enjoyable SPs to come out in recent memory, and also a treasure trove of content ripe for expansion. I started this while working on the Buymode Addon but was set back when I decided to add more colours to the set which required me remaking all the package files and generating all the new textures. But it's done now and I think it helps fill the void for those looking for a more classic but simple window set who don't have the similar Quaint Cottage Set I made for Get Famous. This will work outside of the Pack and stands on it's own as a great versatile set. I also went overboard with the number of door variations, but I don't care LOL
