I had this idea for a country bedroom which sprung up from a wardrobe I had intended to go with a now scrapped set. With Cottage Living announced, I decided to move it off the back burner and finish it as i felt that it would work great for the pack. With a few additions including some lovely floral bedding, it's finally ready for me to use in my gameplay save.
What you need to know:
- The seating items have both the bedding florals and my regular plain swatches
- there is no toddler bed as I felt the frame design was too compromised for the size so I skipped it.
- if you want to place the sidetables as close to the bed I advise MoveObjects, it doesn't block routing, at least in my game anyway
Updates:
- 2/10/2021: Fixed issue where normalmap and specular were incorrectly linked resulting in people without Roarsome Bedroom seeing weird shiny patches on single bedding.
- 28/7/2022: Updated bedding for pre-High School Years patch which caused beds to be non-functional and disappear upon placement

DeleteI'm usually very picky with the cc packs I download. Even if the design is great, I toss out a few objects I don't see myself using in the game. This is the first cc pack that is so elegant, simple and pretty that I'm not gonna dismantle it. Just a thank you from a long time fan!

DeleteI really love this set but for the longest time I could never find the bed frames unless I searched "hinterland". Then I realized under "objects by function" they are only under "misc", not "beds" like your other sets. Not even under "object by room" are they listed under "beds".
ReplyDeleteAll my frames have been there since Discover Uni dorm system. It resutled in a bug meaning a dorm lot could not be loaded if using my frames which meant they all needed to me moved out of the bedding category.

ReplyDeleteI found the culprit, but it means i need to remake those two items. Something clearly went wrong during the cloning process, and the beds ended up linking to the specular and normalmaps from the roarsome bedding (which I cloned since they are the same). Since you don't have the roarsome set, the textures are missing, giving you this issue. Since I test with other CC, I wasn't able to pick up on the issue. Should have it fixed by the weekend.

I make everything separated. the frames are in Misc Comfort category, or like described in the post, search for "hinterlands"

I tend to mix and match my sets a lot so it wasn't a priority here. Perhaps in the future i will be inspired to make one.

ReplyDeleteI've been trying to download this for about 20 minutes now, trying different things but nothing is working. It starts to send me to Simfileshare and then stops. So I tried Google Drive and it won't let me download from there either. I even tried different browsers.

DeleteHi Peace!! I have realize that since the last update of the game, every time I put one of your beds (any pack) it disappears, although it costs me simoleons. I also don't get any script errors.

DeleteHi! Is there a chance you will be updating this and your older beddings again? I don't know which new pack is the culprit but all your beddings are disappearing again when I place them and I love them so much
ReplyDeleteI am currently not experiencing any issues with beds disappearing when placed on my end, and I keep my game up to date. It could be that you have old files so i would suggest redownloading, or checking any script mods you have incase they are out of date.
