I absolutely love the kitchens in TS4, way better then TS3 kitchens, but CAS would have made them perfection. So I decided to take my favourite kitchen, the BlandCo style, and recolour them in some wood and solid colours. They were released some time ago and dubbed Solid Is Sensational Painted Kitchen and Wood You Love My Kitchen. Since EA added dishwashers, I have finally got around to updating these officially (you could use S4S to do a batch fix previously) but I wanted to do more then just an update. So by popular demand, I have not only updated for dishwashers, added 2 more solid colours, 3 counter top colours, I have also provided a package file of the cabinets with the shader fix akin to what plasticbox at MTS has done.
What you need to know:
- The cabinet shader has been changed for better lighting, but can lead to dark shadows. Download occluder default replacement to solve issue
- These are new packages with the same file names. However, the ID's are different so they will not replace the original versions in your games. Therefore they need to be re-placed where you used the older versions.
- No longer supporting the cabinets without the shader fix
- Update 6/02/2017 - Fixed for toddler patch so they will now interact with the counters and islands correctly for the ‘play in’ interaction instead of it not executing properly. Also changed out wood counter texture so it matches solid counter colour.
- Update 14/12/2015 - I exported the wrong DDS format for 2 of the wood cabinets, so please re-download the wood kitchen to get the updated file for the 2 cabinets.
The Build/Buy items feature:
- basegame compatibility
- non-default
- 20 solid colours and 8 wood colours, with a choice between 3 counter top types (totaling 60 and 24 styles respectively)
- Style tool compatible
- custom thumbnails for standard cabinet (all others are game-generated due to shear number of them)
- Version of cabinets with and without shader fix
- Now dishwasher compatible
- Pricing:
- Counters: $150
- Islands: $150
- Cabinets: $135

- All custom content is mine, so feel free to browse through my downloads to find it.
To fix the issue you have on the right with EA items, download the No Occluder Appliances Default Replacement (DR) file down below. This will fix the shadowing for any EA item. If cc is doing it (thats not mine) its out of my control.
Now, there are 2 download links. One for a merged package, and another with all packages separate within a folder in a RAR archive. To install, extract the archive using WINZip/WinRAR/7Zip/Unarchiver and place the folder or package files in your mods folder, then look for them in your game. If you are having issues check out my Installing Content help page.

A REALLY GREAT SET!!!
ReplyDeleteI just love your creations, and I hope you never get tired of making us stuff for the sims.
ReplyDeleteI just deleted all my mods and downloaded all yours. It's wonderfull.
ReplyDeleteFYI just tried to download and antivirus blocked the files. File may be corrupt.
ReplyDeletedid you try the onedrive link?
DeleteI can't comment on every single one of your posts because there are so many but, wow, you're work is absolutely beautiful xxx
ReplyDeletei think the update broke the counters
ReplyDeleteIf you haven't recently redownloaded, then I advise you to do so.
DeleteI love your designs, thank you! Today I replaced all the files from your page but I get a script call error every time I try to place a counter or kitchen item. I downloaded de separate version all through simfileshare. I have not checked the other objects so far and I have 100 percent replaced the old files :(. any advice?
ReplyDeleteI downloaded the same files over here and they are perfectly fine. I would advise you to search your mods folder to make sure you don't have the old folders still in there (that happened yesterday with someone with a similar issue). Worst case is redownload. If you use S4S download latest version and run the batch fix and that will solve the issue too.
DeleteI was looking for a redesign of the blandco counter and yours was perfect! However I noticed than when I put a fridge or appliance on or beside the counter it darkens the entire section of that area in a shadow. Just a heads up
ReplyDeleteThat is because of the occluders I mentioned above. If you grab the NoOccluders Default replacement for EA items (doesn't work on CC) that should remedy most of the issues you are having.
DeleteHi there!
ReplyDeleteThere seems to be a problem with your CC Kitchens these days :/ Whenever I build with one of your kitchens, my sims are unable to cook because I get a "There is no available counter space," error. I've tried swapping out appliances, fridges etc, but the only thing that works is using different counters. This bums me out, because I almost always use your CC in my kitchens. Help!
You are the only person that has reported such an issue. I would suggest redownloading. Then ingame, just place counters (no cabinets above) and away from the walls then try testing again. If it works then there is an issue with something intersecting the object either through the wall from the other side, or above from the cabinets.
DeleteIf that doesn't work, then report back with exactly which kitchens you are trying and i will investigate either to see if its a widespread issue, or more isolated.
DeleteThe redownload worked! Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteHi! I tried to download the DR link you linked above. When I click it, it redirects me to an image. Can you please look into this? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe link should redirect you to the proper page to download the file now
Deletethank you for the update! i love it so much. do you know why some counters are not working and why i cannot cook on them? i have a counter(not one by you) that is doing that and i have tried doing a batch fix and that does not seem to help it.
ReplyDeletetry removing cabinets or all wall decor from above and see if that helps.
