UPDATED: Lennox Kitchen And Dining Set

Update 19/07/2016: I have made the chairs and tables to be compatible with dine out and also fixed the issue where the three pieces of open shelving could not be adjusted all the way to the floor. You can download individual files at the bottom of this post.
As a celebration of my birthday, which I wanted to actually enjoy it this year, I decided to make something specifically to mark the occasion. I also decided to keep it a secret since I couldn't enjoy the surprise myself, others could in my place. So what ended up being an idea morphed into another kitchen, but I wanted something clean and simple, and this is the result. Some may call it dull, or boring, but I am not a flashy person and I find clean lines very appealing.
This also compliments my Shaker Kitchen pretty well (especially the appliances, so be sure to pick those up), and given me an option for decorating a more minimal space (it is basically my shaker kitchen countertops that I replaced and tweaked everything else). I also decided to add another dining set to the mix because I am a masochist and the barstool design was very inspiring. For the kitchen, I did away with the left and right cabinet designs and turned them into glass versions of the standard and short cabinets which are more usable, and I made open cabinets so you can display some kitchen clutter. Place the open cabinets with 1/4 tile movement turned on by Pressing F5. I have also added a few pieces of decor that work well for the design and of course pendant lighting which I love (it is my birthday after all, got to do what I love). I have also separated the set into two; dining and kitchen. The archive would just be too big by itself. There is 128MB of content in total, so I hope you all enjoy this present as much as me :)

Advisory: Because of EA's horrendous cabinet shader, I changed mine to the counter shader so it lights up smoothly. However, the side effect is the occluders (what helps cast shadows) of the items that go on the counters will visually darken the cabinets above, particularly appliances and refrigerators. So I have made a default override for the lightsources for every appliance and refrigerator released to date. These will only work for basegame items unfortunately, or any appliance that has had its occluders removed. You will find the download at the bottom the the page. It is HIGHLY recommended to have that and it can be used with any kitchen where the cabinet shaders have been changed (e.g. plasticbox kitchen overhauls over at MTS, my own blandco recolours, kiwisim4's concrete kitchen, etc) so you don't get the annoying shadows.

  • All custom content, apart from the floors used (find here) and the curtain recolours in kitchen 4 (found here) is all mine, so feel free to browse through my downloads to find it.
Now, there are 5 download links. One for a combined package with all items merged, and another with all packages separated for the Dining and Kitchen sets, then separate download for the Default Replacement (DR) appliances. The archives contains the package files and style images inside a folder. Extract the archive using winRAR or WinZip, place the package file(s) in your mods folder, then look for them in your game. I hope you enjoy. No onedrive choice this time, just takes too long to upload to all these places.

I have also uploaded the files individually for those with the separated packages to download the items separately. There will be no alternate download for these individual files.

  1. WOW!!! It's amazing! I really love your work, it looks so good in the game :-) Thank you for all your impressive work!!

  2. This is one of the most beautiful sets I've seen so far! Good job!

  3. Hi! Thanks a lot for this! And thanks for breaking the tradition and giving us a present instead of the other way round. Happy (belated?) birthday!!!!

  4. It's amazing! But where can I find the cristal windows cabinets? The little ones you combine in the pictures o_O
I love that composition but I can't find it in the game :(

    1. Hi! So in ordern to use all the cabinets in TS4, you need to turn off auto placement. When you go to the kitchen room section of buy mode, there is a button at the bottom right of the icon section. Make sure it is listed as off. If not, click it once. Then got to the cabinets, click on the swatches, then the colours will show up along with a little cabinet layout diagram where you can select the other pieces. The additional glass cabinets replace the left and right end cabinets in the diagram :)

  5. beautiful. love the simplicity. have a magical year.

  7. Thanks you and birthday :-D

  8. Another absolute stunner. Hope you had a great birthday-- thanks for the reverse bday gift!

  9. Wow, another gorgeous set! And Happy belated Birthday!

  10. Amazing once again. Thanks and Happy Birthday

  11. Everything you design is so gorgeous!! I try to use other objects when I build my houses but I just CAN'T. Yours are the best :)

  12. Everything you make is of absolute quality! Upscale you heard me? I am in awe of your ability and talent to create such gorgeousness for the simming community! Thank you XOXO

  13. no me aparecen dentro del juego :( esta bien instalado, pero no veo el contenido, aun teniendo activada la casilla en opciones dentro del juego

    1. your game needs to be fully up to date for my content to work. It is basegame compatible and works in many game so it would be a problem with your setup. I advise you checking out the link at the top of my page to guide you through installing content and the requirements that need to be met for my content to work.

  14. Happy birthday! Big thanks for your CC, its super great eventhough the size iss a bit .-. But its still amazing

    1. thanks. Unfortunately with TS4 having no CAS, i like lots of styles to make up for it and that results in a larger package. No way you can have lots of choices without an increased package size. Though saying that i take comfort in knowing my sets are generally smaller then the average TS4 patch ;)

  15. This is so incredibly amazing!

  16. This is a beautiful set, but I'm having a problem :( I'm seeing the counters, island and barstools but the only option I'm seeing for the upper cabinets is the fridge nook :(

    1. that is an odd bug for sure. I am going to suggest you try this tutorial I wrote here so you are just looking at the lennox items not ixed in with anything and just check to make sure its not the only item missing. If it is, perhap try re-downloading? or try checking your mod folder setup is correct. Sometimes files corrupt when dl'ing and sometimes a computer's setup can affect the way cc shows up. Its annoying and hard to pinpoint the cause :/

      the tutorial is here:

    2. Hi Simsational, I've figured it out. My game just needed to repair and update, my bad!

Again it's an absolutely gorgeous set, thank you so much, it's stunning! :)

    3. good to know it was a quick fix for you :)

  17. In the 3rd example image I see a window that I'm quite certain is not a maxis build. But I can't find it on your blog anywhere unless it's not from here. Please help me find it. I've been looking for windows like this since the base game was released.

PS. I loove your designs <3 they're beautiful and functional and makes the game a lot more fun when you dont actually like to play the game, rather than building houses and making sims

    1. it is actually the 2 way mirror window from GTW that i used. Little bit of trickery as I wanted a window that size for the scene. So not really usuable on a house, and was just done for the image.

    2. Well that's just sad for me. Maybe I should learn how to make some myself then :) Thank you though

  18. Hi,where I can find the update or do I have to download it again!

    1. the updated files have replaced the older files, so you have to redownload. If you have the separated version, you can just download the 3 tables and the open shelving individually if you want.

  19. hey, I'm unable to see the layout diagram that you need to select the different counter top types. It's just off my screen as the colour swatch takes up all the room.
Is there a way for me to select the kitchen counter types (end middles, corner etc) without the diagram?

    1. This is something that is an issue based on a person's screen resolution which I didn't predict happening. Poor choice on the part of EA, but there are a few ways you can get access. Firstly, utilise the filtering options on the right. Filter for cc first (under content) and see if that moves the counters over enough in the catalogue to get access. Then try style (filter for modern). Also try searching the set on the right. If you have s4s installed, you could also change the value of the objects to move their position in the catalog. One of those methods should work for you.

  20. Amazing work! Just one question, where did you get the coffee maker and blinds cc in the third kitchen?

    1. the coffee makes is actually by Maxis, I think it may have came with Get together. The blinds are from my shaker kitchen set which i also made addons for and can be found in my downloads section:
