Today I bring you an experiment that came about from the selection of skin colours available in TS4. There is a serious lack of dark skin colours, and the light ones have left a lot to be desired. After a bit of research, diving into the clientfullbuild files, lots of backwards and forwards into the game for testing, hex editing to edit the colour swatches because s4pe threw errors, I finally came up with the lightside and darkside skintones. I could not be more happy with my first, and possibly last foray into the world of TS4 skins. I came away knowing more about the game and some awesome new colours that don't look jaundice or ashy.

The Other Side - New Skin Colours for TS4

Comfy and Practical - Slim Cuffed and Yoga Sweatpants
Another week and two more clothing updates. I think i am almost done! As you can tell I love having a large variety of sweatpants styles in my game for all occasions. These were some of my most-used but with the need to remake them, I made a few improvements. Like all my other styles I have tweaked the textures, fixed bones and added more colour options. Do be aware these suffer from the sunken crotch, but since I will never use them on females and don't make clothing for the feminine frame, there is no point pulling my hair out to rectify it when I will never personal use them.

Summer Fun - Loose Cut, and Loose Bands Tank Tops

Another day, another fix/remake. This time my fave tank top. The goal was to update the original file, however that wasn't possible because of some changes, so I decided just to remake it. I overhauled the texture, fixed the NM and added more colours. I also decided to remake my Dip Dyed Tank on this mesh and love how it turned out. So now there is a plain and patterned version available.

Simple V-Necks - Keeping It Simple and Stripe My V Tees

I love v-necks and there really isn't enough for my liking. I have done a few variations of the years and it was time to update these completely due to how much CAS has changed since i made them. New colours and colour combos have been included along with updated textures. One of my favourite basic tops for guys, this is going to get more use now its brand new.

Simple Crew Necks - Keeping It Simple and Stripe My Crew Tees

Another update of older content, Here is one of my favourite plain tees. Some times guys just need the basics. Nothing flashy, nothing over-designed, just some simple tees. So that is what I have supplied. Since the original is incredibly old, it was time to redo the mesh and texture. I have also decided to change the striped style to a thick design which I love.

Baseball V's - Short, 3/4, and Long-Sleeve Tees
One of my earliest creations for TS4 was something of an oddity I had never seen: v-neck baseball tee. Because of that i had to make them for my game. Now with the process of remaking my CAS items, I decided to revisit these favourites and give them an overhaul plus adding a new style. Now i will get even more use out of these.
I have been updating for Seasons, but only the short sleeve one gets Hot weather use out of these, since the other two fell into a grey area not covered by either of the new categories, so i decided to not apply the filter for the 2/4 and long sleeve versions. Like usual, you can remove the filter to use them in either category like any other clothing category.

Square Cut Tank - Version 2.0 for guys

Another remake. I had originally made this style in TS3 then again when TS4 came out. I prefer this style to the more traditional shape and it is great as a workout top. Since the original was so old, it was time for a remake, so like usual this doesn't replace the original but it will no longer be available either. So you can have both in-game if you prefer.

Laze About - Sweatshorts for Guys
This was a new idea I had after redoing my standard sweatpants. I wear these around the house all thew time and they are just so comfy. So why not make them for my sims? So I did just that. They come in my standard sweatpants colours and are just perfect for loungewear.
Slouchie Sweatpants V2.0
Another day, another remake. There is nothing quite as good as sweatpants, or as the aussies say; trackie pants. They were one of my favourite TS3 creations, one of the first things i adapted to TS4, and now in its third iteration on a different mesh and cleaned up textures. I am going to get even more use out of these now.

Pushed Up V-Neck - new sweater for guys

This is something new I ended up making after looking at my old v-neck sweater I made which was a retexture of a basegame mesh. I loved the idea of a 3D collar and with the addition of an item with one, I set about using part of the mesh for this. The original did have a tee underneath, but I decided to get rid of it for this new version since you could use an accessory tee an an option. I am very happy with the outcome and definitely plan more variants in the future. As for now, its just this simple version which gets lots of use in my game.

Beachdays: Some Junk in Your Trunks & Surfs Up! Boardshorts

I really let these clothing updates fall by the wayside, that's for sure. So right back into them it is! This time is a redo of my swimwear from a followers gift with cleaned up textures, new styles, and just generally nicer to look at. I canned some styles, but since these don't replace the original, you can have both versions if you wish.

Rolled Rebel - Tucked-in Tee for Guys

This was a new idea I ad when remaking some of my older clothing. I do like tucked in t-shirts and i love the look of rolled sleeves, so i combined the ideas and turned them into this. It was a pain to get the normalmap right so it didn't overlay bottom items, but once I figured that out all went smooth from there. I really love this top with a nice pair of jeans, definitely gives off a Rebel Without a Cause vibe for sure.

Buttoned Up - Baggy and Cuffed Jeans for Guys
These started off as a remake of my Buckled Up jeans but i just kept changing and changing them, finally settling on what you see above. I am really happy with it. It is hard to jean a denim texture to look maxis-match but i think I managed to pull off a decent attempt to do so with these. Besides, there are not enough baggy jeans in-game.

I Like Short Shorts - V2 remake for guys
I really need to get the ball rolling on these clothing updates since i have so many, so why not start again with these? I always found them amusing myself and just had to redo them because some sims just look great in short shorts. I discontinued some styles I no longer used and added some more solid colours. Now to get even more use out of them!

Rambler Leather Jacket - Version 2.0
Well, i really don't know what to say other then this is a remake of one of my earlier CAS creations. A lot has changed since the release of TS4 and a lot of my stuff is outdated, so it was time to remake it. Anyway, I separated the jacket from the biker outfit from basegame, retextured it and voila! New jacket for guys. I really do love how this scrubbed up compared to the original.

Slim and Cuffed - Set of Jeans for guys
I am in the process of updating/remaking all of my clothing. CAS has changed so much since the introduction of TS4 and it about time I addressed some of the niggley issues, as well as improve on some older concepts. This however is a new item. I really loved the jeans from the bowling back, but wanted more variation. I decided to take the texture and apply it to one of my favourite sets of pants; the cropped base-game pants. I abuse them and wanted a jeans version. So here it is.

Sleek and Swept Hair for Guys

What is this? Hair? Well yes it is. Guys are always in need of more hair. This one came from dine out but was kids only. It has been converted before, but I wanted mine with more volume up top so I had to make it happen with some resizing and editing. I also added the additional adult colours after finding an awesome action by habsims which saved me a lot of time. I had to make the salt and pepper textures by hand, but they turned out relatively well. I am still clueless as to why this hair wasn't for adults too, but it is now and will more poof, its even better.
This hair features:
- Base game compatibility
- Available in all 18 basegame colours
- Fully hat compatible
- Custom thumbnail
- Found under short length hair filter
- disabled for random
- Only for masculine body frame
The archive contains the package file and style image inside a folder. Extract the archive using winRAR or winZIP and drop the package file in your mods folder and look for it in-game.

Rolled V-neck Tee

Been sitting on this for about a month, so it was probably time I got around to sharing it. I always need more simple tees in my game, and v-necks especially since the particular style just isn't that common. I like rolled sleeves too. I don't know why, but I do. Anyway, this particular v-neck has a 3D collar (not just painted on) so it gives a nice look to the end product. I knew the doctor's scrubs would come on handy one day for a frankenmesh project. Anyway, enough blabbering, I hope you enjoy.

Comfy Pullover Sweater

Well its been a while since I have made any male clothing. This is partially due to other projects and also being uninspired. Really, there is not a lot of content to create unique frankenmeshes for TS4 guys, but taking a break from object CC i came up with a few future projects, including this one. If you look, a lot of the sweaters Maxis makes (not including ties) are overwhelmingly dominated by rolled sleeves. I like choice so I came up with this mashup and I am happy to have another long-sleeve choice when dressing my guy sims.
This top can be used on bodies other then masculine male, but just be aware that the mesh is not optimised for breasts much like all other items converted from men to women with the unisex patch. I have not disabled them as someone might find a use but you will only find them under the masculine filter or if you remove it from the search bar in CAS.

Low ManBun
I don't readily create hair, but when I do, it is always because something is lacking and I can't wait for someone else to come up with the idea. When it comes to man buns (some of you are probably like, not man buns, i hate them! This post is probably not for you, so I ask why are you still reading?) a lot of the designs are either top knot or high man bun styles. I personally prefer a low manbun and there is only one decent version made by EA. However, I hate the parted look so I took that mesh, mash it with a female ponytail braid hair and voilà ! Low manbun to my liking. I am sharing this because there was interest and I removed all obvious bugs it had from frankenmeshing. I didn't do my additional colours for this, as they no longer get much use in my game, so just the standard EA colours are included.
