This is just a pre-emptive post to say I am expecting a lot of items to break with the Infant patch. If you find something broken, please limit it to this post so I can collect the responses and get to updating as soon as I figure out the issues causing broken content.
Because of how big and widespread this patch will be, I highly advise the following:
- taking a backup of your save files, especially considering it may take days or longer to fix all content that breaks. Your cc saves are essentially going to be unplayable at this time
- Remove your mods folder (cut and paste) and store in a safe place before running the patch
- Alternately, you can turn off auto-update in the EA app by going to settings located in the dropdown menu for your profile in to top right hand corner, going to applications, and turning off Application updates. This will allow you to wait to update until things are fixed, or a batch fix is available via Sims 4 Studio.
Please keep in mind I am an individual doing this in my spare time. I pride myself at keeping my content up-to-date but it's too early to know how far reaching this patch will be, or how long it will take to fix. So please be patient and remember, CC creators are people behind the screens.
Harrie did a live stream and tested her CC, by the looks of it, theres nothing broken.

DeleteI tested Harrie's separated cooktop / slide-in ovens and they appear broken after the new pack was installed
DeleteI found that the roarsome furniture set was stopping my kids from doing homework. They would t-pose and cancel the interaction.

Deletei have not been able to reproduce this issue, it could be caused by a mod so i would double check you don't have any outdatted script mods that could be causing issues
DeleteI had this issue as well, went through all my mods and they weren't the issue. Sorted through my creators but when I got to yours I couldn't figure out which file was causing this glitch, so I ended up having to take the entire cc folder out
Deleteif you can't remember updating bedding for High School Years, I would start there, as it could be causing cancelling of actions. I have seen a lot of people already who have not updated their games since that pack release

ReplyDeleteNothing to report as I've removed everything & am planning to play a non-cc game for a few weeks at least. I just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate you and all the time you spend on your custom content. I understand it will take time to update everything that's broken, especially since you don't even know what's broken yet. Then, with Growing Together coming out tomorrow, there will probably be even more things broken. Take whatever time you need. Most of the Simmers who enjoy your content will understand.

ReplyDeletebaby-proofing is available so they don't need updating. They just dumped it under "lock for" menu 😂
Deletelooks like most everything is fine with the exception of toy boxes. the ea ones now say they support children/toddlers/infants - but all cc ones only support toddlers/children. so infants cant play in them. i'm having an issue using highchairs, the infants get in them but the adults say they can't get to them to have them try foods (even in an empty room with nothing but a high chair), but i'm not sure if that's a high chair cc issue or if that's some other mod being broken.
ReplyDeletehighchairs definitely need an update as they have new rigging, one of the few items that do. I will have a look at the toyboxes but it could just be a case of old ones just not supporting infants because they could require being remade.
Deleteby default, toddlers can't play in toyboxes at all, the feature was removed for TS4. If your sims are playing in them, this is a mod that would need updating.

ReplyDeletei need to download the pack to check but not seen any issues except for t-posing mentioned above. But be aware, this could also be mod-related, causing issues with bedding as a side effect

DeleteJust in case someone mentions it, and does what I originally thought was a bug with Hamptons Built In. Books aren't disappearing when the sim is placing them down, sim is putting them in the keepsake box I have next to the TV. Also not had any issue with Beds disappearing when placed (Hinterlands, Roarsome, Mid-Century Abode, Hamptons). I'm only using MCCC, T.O.O.L and Better Build Buy. Honestly, found all CC that I use to be working smoothly for once
ReplyDeleteOnly issue I’m having is with the Bowed Living set- it seems to have completely disappeared. It might be just a “my computer” issue, but I haven’t been able to put it back into my game since the update.

DeleteThe only thing I have noticed so far is that the new refrigerator from the pack doesn't work with the no occluder when I use the refridgerator nook

DeleteI am up to date on all packs extention, EA updates and beddings are not disapearing any more but sims don't eat when I have a cc bed. It's with yours but also other moders.

DeleteYour beds have been broken for me im currently going through my cc because my sims are not eating and all of the beds from you are disappearing if they do work or are saying script failed does anyone know how i can fix this? i only use pc maker beds in every household i have.
ReplyDeleteIf beds are disappearing did you update them after HSY came out? That pack had a major rig change causing the issues you are describing.

So, spent a good while individually removing my build cc and since I organise my mods folder by cc creators then have sub-folders for each set, one of the 22 sets I have from your folder is broken - causing my sim to not fulfil commands like eating, listing things on plopsy and other commands I probably missed. The command tends to cancel and my sim t-poses.

ReplyDeleteif you have not updated since before High School Years, I advise redownloading. I am not experiencing any issues with the latest patch, but all beds broke with the HSY update so it could be that issue.

I have tested all those and they work perfectly in my game. If you have redownloaded, I would advise you to check you don't have duplicate files in your game. If you have not redownloaded, I would advise you to do so.
