Creta Indoor & Outdoor Kitchen

I have not really done many outdoor sets, which is odd considering I live outside most of the year. It usually comes down to inspiration.  I did stumble across a wonderful outdoor kitchen on pinterest with an interesting trough that I just had to add to my game, and that is how Creta was born. I decided I like it both as an indoor and outdoor set so it grew beyond what I usually do, but I am really happy with the outcome.

What you need to know:
  • Awnings are in 4 lengths and wall-mounted. You can place on wall them delete the wall if you want them partially floating
  • If slat wall doesn't interlock into awning, rotate 180 degrees
  • Kitchen only in wood tones are painted just looked odd. Comes in 3 counter colours
  • Shelving and Rangehoods designed to match concrete counters, hence why they only have 3 styles
  • Recommended to use my No-Occluder file to avoid any appliances darkening the kitchen since I use the counter shader for the cabinets.
The Build item/s feature:
  • basegame compatibility
  • non-default
  • 3 to 36 colour/style options
  • colour filter compatible
  • Find using the keyword "Creta" using my tutorial here
  • custom thumbnails
  • The polycount of each item falls within range of Maxis-created content
Download from either of the below links. To install, if an archive, extract using WINZip/WinRAR/7Zip for PC or Unarchiver for Mac, and place the folder or package files in your mods folder, then look for them in your game. If you are having issues check out my Installing Content help page.

  6. quick question, I can't find where to ask questions. some of my older kitchen refriderator cabinets have darker shadowing on them, was there an update of those that I missed?

    1. that is due to the fridges used. To have a better effect I use the counter shader but that can conflict with the occluders of some objects. If they are Maxis fridges, my no-occluder file would fix that, if they are cc the package would need editing for them to be removed.

    2. you can find my no-occluder file here: https://simsationaldesigns.blogspot.com/2018/08/no-occluder-small-large-appliances.html

And if you need to manually edit, i explain how to easily do it here with S4S: https://peacemaker-ic.tumblr.com/post/190068464799/weird-problem-i-have-your-no-occluder-mod-it

    3. Thank you so much! It worked perfectly especially because the only CC I use is yours. Also just want to check in and make sure you're okay? You haven't posted in awhile, so I've been a little worried about you! Hope you are doing well!

  7. Hi, love this set! I was having an issue with the bar fridge. whenever I put it in a counter it goes invisible and then disappears entirely once I place it there. I have your no-occluder file but I can't think of anything else that would make it do this? Thank you for your awesome work!

    1. I finally figured out the cause in case anyone else has this issue. I had to turn auto counters off!

    2. honestly thought I replied to this. I generally keep auto counters off, so could be why I missed that

    3. It's totally okay, I know you're busy! I kept noticing it would work sometimes and not others and I switch between having auto counters on and off so that was it! Thanks so much though for getting back to me when you could. Hope you're doing well.

    1. I'm doing good, thanks for asking. Ended up being more of an extended break then I anticipated. This time of year tends to be busy, but was super busy this time lol
