Hi everyone! I have completed the updates for items affected by the patch released prior to Discover University EP that affected items with too many slots and showers. I still need to update custom bedding to work in dorms, but they currently work fine in normal homes. When i have completed that more tedious update, i will post again with the updated links. Here are the sets you will need to update currently:
Serenity Bathroom
Hamptons Getaway
Futura Living
Vara Office
Do note, with the new bookshelves, you are going to have to replace any items that were placed on them because of the side effect of editing the slots. If you are still experiencing issues, make sure you don't have a duplicate file, and if you don't take out and let me know. As far as I am aware the new restrictions shouldn't vary depending on your game settings, but i have heard of issues that people can't use some of the updated items. So if that is the case, best to permanently remove that file until an official statement of what the recommended number of slots as, and whether game settings affects that number.

ReplyDeleteHey, the Futura Slant Bookcase still causes my Game to crash. I have removed all duplicate files, so I don´t know what the problem is.

DeleteJust downloaded new patches and put on my game and the single shower is still dissapearing and futura bookcase is still crashing game.

DeleteI just added the updated files to my mods folder. I really appreciate the updates...thank you. When I checked all my items with Sims 4 Studio's new "slot195", the Futura Slant Bookcase came up with 209 bones. For now, just in case, I installed the rest of the set, without the bookcase. I don't know if it still needs fixing, or if slot195 is catching it erroneously. I also want you to know that you are one of my all-time favorite creators. You always create such high quality sets. Thank you for sharing them with the community.

ReplyDeleteHey, it's me again. I'm just wondering if we should expect any other updates/fixes on your sets, or if all is well now. I'm specifically curious about the Luxurious Bedding set. If it needs to be updated, no biggie on the time it takes. There's a few creators that have used your bedding as a base, and I just wanted to know if I should wait for an update, or if they are okay to use now.
ReplyDeleteI will have an update for my bedding to add the uni function tag for dorms and fixes for my bedframes which seems to have caused the error 102. Recolours will probably need to update themselves since the tag is located in a resource that isn't linked but will update more once that is done.

ReplyDeleteI don't plan an update for them because they already have way less the the maximum allowed slots for an object. If you are having issues i suggest removing them, or if you haven't updated for the patch that came out after uni, i would try that

DeleteIt is just unfortunate that this slot issue doesn't seem to be universal since it makes it harder to design furniture everyone can use. Hopefully the developers can shed more light on it and find out why some are more affected then others.
DeleteI thought I should mention, in case no one else has told you yet, about a slight problem with the toilets in the Serenity set. It has a shadow problem. I suppose I never mentioned it before, because I thought someone else would tell you, and I didn't want to be a pest. I'd post a picture, but I don't know how to do that. It's like it's partially transparent. You can see the shadow between the wall and floor through the toilet. I'm not sure how else to describe it. It doesn't cause crashing or anything, it's just a visual thing.
ReplyDeleteUnforutnately that is probably a base mesh issue and the entire toilet would need to be remade. My guess is it only became an issue after the sunshadow update but I turn off the SSAO shadowing which 'highlights' the issue. Because it's not gamebreaking it isn't high on my priority list right now.
