Folded Flat Modern

Folded Flat modern is my first proper modern home for quite some time. With its signature roof that looks like it has been 'folded' over the home giving an a-symmetrical look, it offers 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, open living and dining spread over a split-level home. The build is situated on the sloped lots of Twinbrook's central area in the lake district. The address is 10 Poker Flats Drive but can be place on any of those sloped lots.

Tinybrook Micro Home

Today i bring you a new home, built for a challenge over at the TS3 forums. The challenge involved the building of a micro home on a 10x10 lot, quite a challenge in its self. There were rules and guidelines to follow (you can see the challenge here). So was inspired by the idea, i usually stay way from these sided lots as it is not my favourite size (I love 25x50, yes its odd, i know :P ).I am currently building another home with a similar architectural style so it was a little subliminal that it ended up with similar features. It was designed specifically for an area in Twinbrook. It is a custom placed lot but i will go through where that should be placed. Anyway here you go.

Reynard Theatre

Here is my entry into SIFF's venue challenge over at Simatography (you can check out their seasonal festivals and awards here). I called the venue Reynard Theatre. The back story is that this lot was inspired by Fox Theatre in St Louis, Missouri. Although i couldn't replicate the look in game due to intricate details, I think the granduar is very much intact. I was liasing with jorgha, an organiser of the event, on what would be ideal and I hope it have reached a happy medium while giving it some of my unique flair. Since the theatre doesn't look like the inspiration, I named in Reynard, the name of an anthropomorphic red fox found in many fables throughout Europe linking the venue back to the inspiration, but having its own identity.

Disclaimer: Due to the use of the "constrainfloorelevation" cheat to create the ceiling effect and arches, this lot may exhibit the known bug where the ceiling will disappear even though there are tiles there. I have tried my best to minimise this bug but in all honesty, it is out of my control. I do apologise to any who come across this as the only way to rectify it is to replace the tiles after deleting them. This is not a permanent solution as the problem will re-occur. I hope with the high ceilings and my precautions and fixes that it will not be an issue but i cannot guarantee anything as EA doesn't want to acknowledge that the bug needs fixing, even though i doubt they know how too. I swear that one day, this bug will be the death of me. 

Maplegrove, Classic Meets Modern

Maplegrove, is in the same style as Kingston Plantation, with a modern twist on the inside. This house is built on a custom lot size, a 25x50, found in edit town mode. These are easy enough to place and i encourage everyone to do so as well but if you don't know how, you can find a 50x50 and have some extra space.

New Design and More to Look Forward to

With the new year comes renewed vigor and interest. With this revived interest i have given my space a makeover and I hope to see you all throughout the new year.

Kingston Plantation

Hello all, sorry for the long delay in posting new lots, i really like procrastinating when it comes to my blog :P
Well here is my newish build which was completed on the weekend. Designed in Sunlit Tides (SLT), it is a classic home in the style of old plantation estates to give a little class to the island. It however can be placed anywhere as I didn't use any SLT specific content ;)
Note that the lot is a 50x50 lot, if you care playing an older world, you may need to go into edit-town mode in order to place the appropriate sized lot. You could place it on a 60x60 and just move the fencing outwards if you need the extra space ;)

Lakeside View, My First Build in Many Many Months..........

Well what can i say? Being MIA is just like in the military. Many people on forums don't have contact with the people they know in real life and understand why you left. Why do they leave? Are they coming back? Well for me university life got hectic, playing TS3 wasn't fun anymore and i just couldn't bring myself to insert that disc into the dvd drive. That has changed. i am back, still busy but hope to get those projects i have laying around finished. Hopefully. No promises. Afterall life is full of mysteries and uncertainties like many of you may be aware of.

Anyway here is a lot i created for Lucky Palms and those nifty boathouse lots. I call it Lakeside View (because i couldn't think of anything better). So i hope you enjoy it even after this long absence of mine.

Back........ Sort of..........

Well i thought i would post here, even though i don't think anyone will see it. I am back to simming even though i came close to packing it in altogether. I am a recluse since certain things occurred a while back, sticking to what i know and people i feel comfortable around. Really i only understand the creator part of the Sims community and frankly they are the only ones i want to understand. Who really wants to get trolled? no me.

I am currently testing Hillcrest Cove (yes its been a year and a half, i guess i am not as speedy as i though :P ) and will hopefully be up (assuming i can upload to the exchange, if not a file hosting site if they manage to survive SOPA and that other US bill). Its a big world and my first and i want to get it right. I am no expert, far from it but i don't want to share a world with cut corners and things missing. That is just not my style

I am also working on a new world, with plenty of new builds and lots more lots. Yes it does look like i am torturing myself with the larger project (close to 200 lots) but i guess that's just me.

So here i am back and not gone. Its just not time. When it is you will all be the first to know. Until then returning to regular simming.

New Patterns: Painted Wood Siding

Well I purchased Hidden Springs and the houses in the town are beyond saving. So I decided to give it a makeover in my spare time. I am dedicating one area to A-frames, another to colonials and maybe even a section for pre-fab builds. When i got to the colonials i wanted a thin wood siding and the only one i could find had to darker pattern on it. So i decided to make my own and here they are.

These are located in the wood section of CAS. There is 4 types, the wood siding, one with flashing on the left, one with flashing on the right and one with it on the left and right.
