I am aware of the issue and how long it has been since the update that broke it. I also get that people want the content fixed. However, people greatly underestimate the time and energy required to update said content. It is a tedious process, and requiring a lot of trial and error which is content productive. That is why I have decided to wait for the S4S team to complete their batch fix (and hopefully integrate it into S4S to allow making new buildmode content easier) rather then update manually.
If I had created far fewer items, I would update manually, but my count is well over 400 individual items (and that count is excluding 2 tile variants that are now obsolete). So I ask that people have patience during this time, and please, please, please read my blog before asking if the items have been updated. When I know more, or start updating, you will all be the first to know.
You do you, Peace. While I have a hard time waiting for a fix, I've visited the Sims 4 Studio site and have read the conversations happening on that board and see that it's way beyond a simple fix and that people ARE working to figure things out. So, in the meantime, I've taken my Peacemaker build objects and have put them in a folder and moved it out of my Mods folder so I won't be tempted to use them. Once "the fix is in", I'll move them back and batch fix them and have a good time with them once again. Thanks so much, Peace. Oh. btw.... Henry Walker is married and has two boys so far...
ReplyDeleteTo all the people bothering CC creators for fix: PLAY WITHOUT CC!
ReplyDeleteTake out your entire mod folder, not just build items, start a new save file and enjoy the game for now. Seriously, it's like a cleanser, so refreshing, kinda fun.
Then when fix is released go back to your old saves with CC.
Simple, but works in my case :>
I totally like where you're coming from, that's what i have done, and it's great .. like starting the game from new! Peacemaker (and other creators) have got a hard enough time on their hands, without ppl complaining all the time!
DeleteTake all the time you need! Those of us who truly support you and your work know that this is not a simple fix or a quick task! ^_^
ReplyDeleteThanks for keeping us posted. I know waiting on a batch fix for S4S isn't a short wait time. Especially for this. You are completely right about the tedium of trying to fix everything individually. I tried to fix one of the doors that EA missed as a just a stand alone object and I was having patience issues as I am fairly new to modding/recoloring. Since I absolutely love your stuff, I would rather you be sane by the end of the process.
ReplyDeleteTake your time, Peacemaker. Your work is ALWAYS well worth the wait. And to those who have nothing better to do than complain about the time it's taking for this fix, I would remind you that the is a game and point out that if this is your biggest problem in your life ... well, let's just say I'm forever grateful that my mother raised me to understand the difference between an inconvenience and a problem.
ReplyDeleteIt is worth waiting for hon. You do what you can when you can
ReplyDeleteI think the people that are rushing CC creators clearly haven't seen what's involved in fixing it. I had a quick look and was like....all the nope! Take heart in the fact that most people are more than happy to wait for the batch fix ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks once again for an update, i think ppl don't realise that creators actually have lives outside of creating aswell! If the batch fix is the best way to go, that's what you do, and as someone else has said, it is worth waiting for .. you do you hun, you do you! :)
ReplyDeleteI completely understand. Honestly, other than MC Command Center, I haven't been playing with mods since before Knifty Knitting came out. I plan to begin playing mods again, after Sims 4 Studio updates, because while you are my favorite creator, you aren't the only one I download stuff from, so its just faster and easier to update with (hopefully) one click in Studio. I admit that I check your site daily just to check for updates, but it's not a big deal right now, as everyone is waiting on Studio to update, which I know will likely take a huge chunk of time. I agree with you...patience people, patience. Try not to let them get to you...just ignore them if necessary. What I don't understand is this...you don't do this for money, so people really shouldn't be demanding. You do this out of the kindness of your heart and love for the game. I just hope complaints and impatience don't sour you to creating new stuff. I would cry if I lost my all time favorite Sims 4 creator.
ReplyDeleteYou work so hard to bring us such amazing content. Thankyou for all that you do. I will wait as long as it takes for you to update. The wait is worth it.
ReplyDeleteYour my favorite by far. I did find away to get my doors and most of your windows to work by you. I have to use the Tool mod.
ReplyDeleteHey, can i ask you how? I have the Tool mod, and am very curious how you did this!
DeleteThank you Peacemaker for all your time and effort for your Sims 4 creations. I too have been waiting patiently. I know these are not always easy fixes and requires more than 2 lines of code. Even though my Sims 4 experience has been less than par, since I can't build proper lots without my favourite creator, I will wait patiently. Again, thank you Peacemaker for all that you do.
ReplyDeleteIt is absolutely worth the wait! Thank you so much for all the time and energy you put into creating such fabulous content for the game!
ReplyDeleteThe Sims 4 Studio just posted yesterday a way these windows can be fixed. It looks like Peacemaker might have to go into each of the windows cc to fix them, unless you yourself understand how to do these things on your own.

I understand the time and energy it takes. Thank you very much for all the content you put out. it's appreciated.
