Province Kitchen - A Selvadorian-Inspired Country Kitchen

Ah, the (possibly) last upload of 2019. I think I am ending on a bang. This kitchen started off as an idea to turn the "Polished Wooden Bar Caddy" from Jungle Adventures into a kitchen. Because of it's size, it was awkward to adjust so i decided to take inspiration from it and design a kitchen from scratch based around the original style. This is far more Maxis Match then I usually do, but I love the end result. Was a perfect opportunity to do another butcher-block kitchen too.

What you need to know:
  • Like all my kitchens, you should grab my default replacement no-occluder appliances package file to stop any shadow issues with the wall cabinets
  • you need to have the standard counters ingame for the butcherblock variants to work because of linked textures
  • left and right cabinet variations are open and glass door variants of standard cabinet
  • Rangehood is 2 tiles, but shrink it is you need it to be 1 tile
Updates:

The Build/Buy items feature:
  • basegame compatibility
  • non-default
  • 10 meshes in total with 30 colour/style options:
  • find items easily using phrase "Province" in search bar (try this tutorial to easily find my sets)
  • style (found under "french country" tag) and colour filter compatible
  • custom thumbnails
  • Pricing  and polycount as follows:
    • Counters ($290, 728/1106/1106/462/706 polys)
    • Islands ($290, 726/1110/1110/274/786/532/686 polys)
    • Cabinets ($135, 372/502/372/426/430/456/153 polys)
    • Fridge Nooks ($225, 508 polys)
    • Rangehood ($275, 220 polys)
    • Crossleg Barstool ($155, 488 polys)
    • Crossback Barstool ($275, 728 polys)

  • All custom content is mine, so feel free to browse through my downloads to find it.
There are 3 download links, one for a merged package (with the mirror being an alternative download if the primary one goes down), and another with all packages separate within a folder in a RAR archive. To install, extract the archive using WINZip/WinRAR/7Zip/Unarchiver and place the folder or package files in your mods folder, then look for them in your game. 1. Ooh, this is awesome! Talk about perfect timing, too. I literally spent well over an hour yesterday going through every single page of your Sims 4 creations. I was sure I'd seen everything and downloaded more than I should have. So then, on a whim this morning, I decided that I should check to make sure I didn't miss anything. And well, what do you know? Lol Thank you so much for all your hard work, dedication, and excellent tastes! Happy Holidays!!

    1. Most common step people miss is extracting the archive. Double check the file extension and if it's not .package it needs extracting. If you have then move it out of any subfolders as it may be too deep. Double check your settings has CC/Mods enabled. And lastly if that doesn't work try downloading separately.

  6. hi I have noticed that the corner counters jut out into the wall. Is there any way to fix this?

    1. this is intentional as the inner corner is a limiting item when designing a kitchen with the wall and off-wall meshes. I chose to have the deeper counter for both inner corner parts to avoid gaps when using them half off the wall. I play with walls up so that is how I designed it, since that gap is hidden when I play.
