I get inspired by different things, whether that is things i see when out and about, Pinterest, or in-game items. This time I was looking through the catalogue and saw the work bench from Restoration workshop kit and thought "that would be great if it was modular." Modular items tend to be better made from scratch, so instead of an edit I decided to make a kitchen/workshop cabinet based on the design, and this is the result. Although envisioned predominantly for workshops/man-caves/garage storage, i think this would work in an industrial build as well, a style we don't really have much of.
- There are 3 versions of the counter and island. The original design with a single drawer, a 3 drawer version, and a door style too. The 3 drawer and door designs have flipped left and right pieces for added versatility
- The workbench needs to be placed using the 1/4 tile placement (press F5 to turn on)
- the wall cabinets have alternate end pieces, a shelf and vertical half cabinet, turn off auto placement and check out the advanced placement menu next to the swatch section of the item
- The minibar is stuck with the even icon no matter what I do, but should still work for people (if not let me know)
The Build item/s feature:
- basegame compatibility
- 13 items
- non-default
- 15 colour/style options
- colour filter compatible
- Find using the keyword "Wurk" using my tutorial here
- custom thumbnails
- The polycount of each item falls within range of Maxis-created content
