Shrunken Square Coffee Tables - Resized for more Usability

I loved the idea of square coffee tables when they were introduced, but i think everyone can say they are a bit too big. The resizing of them is easy with in-game cheats, but placing things become a pain. I was tired of not getting enough use out of them, so I made some non-default versions that are 75% the original size. They work so much better with my style of decorating, so hopefully you all enjoy them too.

What you need to know:
  • 75% the original size
  • all slots redone
  • they are not default replacement, but standalone
  • they require the respective packs they come from. Don't have one? Just delete the file with the name matched up to the picture above.
  • Same price as original items
Updates:
  • 28/6/2019 - added "Circular Table of Circle" from Island Living
  • 4/12/2019 - added "Planks doe Nothin' " from Discover University
  • 20/06/2020 - added "Hepcat" and "Mosaic-Lite" from Eco Lifestyle

  1. Wow! This is great, so needed, the original size was extreme, they occupied the whole space where you put them. Thanks a lot!!

  3. OMG, thank you so much. I absolutely hate how big EA made those. Now I can finally use them without it looking awkwardly disproportionate.

  4. YAS! Thank you so much. No more downsizing and end up with another, less clunky one so I could place things without getting a nervous breakdown, lol.

  10. What a fantastic idea! I've been frustrated with the size of coffee and side tables; when you try to shrink them items float on top. Thank you!

  17. Hi, I recently downloaded your resized tables but for some reason when I loaded my game, the llama and freezer bunny animations were jumping rapidly. After I took the content out and loaded my game back up, the animations were back to normal.
P.S. I did write this same message a few minutes ago but I'm new to blogger and it had me put a name even though my email was already linked and it brought me back to this page. So, I was confused on whether or not my first message was sent. So, I apologize ahead of time if you're reading this twice.

    1. Hi! I can't say i have seen that issue at all. I find the jumping speed sporadic and doesn't seem to have a rhyme or reason for doing so.
As for commenting, everything goes through moderation on my end because i get a lot of spam so comments wont show until I publish them. Just helps keep the place neat :)

  19. Hello Peacemaker,
I downloaded your Shrunken tables files but couldn't find the EL shrunken tables in it, it seems like you may have forgotten to had them in the zip file...?
Thank you for your amazing work! Huge fan!

    1. That is probably SFS having issues updating their database. It can take a while. Either try again or grab from google drive.

  20. Hi there, question. Would you say that creating CC is difficult? I mean, how long did it take you to learn it? To the point where you were satisfied with your work. I'm considering to make some of my own cc as I can't find what I want on the internet. But it's just so overwhelming, these apps look like there were made in hell. I really think you are one of the best CC creators out there, that's why I'm asking you. Appreciate all your work so far, looking forward to see more :)

    1. There are many different parts to CC making, and some are harder then the others. You just need to give yourself time to learn them at your level (some people pick it up quicker, while others need more time). I took my time having started creating in TS3 and brought the skills I learnt over to TS4. But it still took time to learn additional skills to start making objects. I always suggest people start small; do recolours of CAS and objects, then mesh edits, then work your way up to creating something new. Also look outside the simming community because meshing and UV mapping work are universal and the better info is out there and rarely in the community. Recolours and mesh edits will help you learn about textures and the UV Maps which are some of the hardest parts to learn apart from unwrapping. Once you get those sorted the rest is much easier to learn if you can get used to programs like blender. But slow and steady wins the race, at least for me.
