Well here is another usonian for you all. This was supposed to go up before Christmas but that never happened due to real life taking priority. My dvd drive playing up did not help either. Nevertheless here is another usonian style build.

Tuscan Charm: Morellino Town House

hello all,


today i bring you Morellino Town House, a 3 house lot with the central building acting as the primary residence. With the new tools added with Late Night i thought i would see how easy it would be to actually make a functional townhouse and it is indeed quite easy!

This house is designed for the active sim that does not need a large outdoor area. It is spread over 4 floors with elevators acting as the go-between. it is very functional in this respect even with the lag of the elevators.

Georgian Townhouse: The epitome of Opulence

The Georgian architecture style was very much ahead of its time in my opinion. It mixed simple symmetrical design with light, bright open spaces to create a style that was as far away from Victorian architecture as a dog is from a cat. I guess this is why i love it as much as modern architecture, it mixes old world style with minimal design elements creating a timeless design. This build i am bringing you today is a Georgian Townhouse, something i have wanted to build and due to Ambitions and new sets available from the store it has become possible.

Sandstone Ridge Usonian: A Sloped Lot House

 This is the 4^th house in my FLW series and is a vast improvement on the house which resided at the original location in Bridgeport. Sandstone Ridge Usonian is based on the house designed for George Sturges. It is designed specifically for a sloped lot and was a perfect choice for 153 Windsor Drive Bridgeport.

Bleu Victorian: A Challenge for Myself

This build, a Victorian as the name suggests, was a challenge bestowed upon me by Ruthless_kk. I said i was no good at building and decorating in this style and she told me she was uncomfortable building modern homes. I took it upon myself to build this house to push myself. I am not completely happy with it but i as still surprised i was able to complete it. It’s taken a couple of months on and off but i did it.

I know its not New Year yet but i decided to give the blog a little makeover. its a lot cleaner in its presentation which was the main goal. i am slowly adding blogs i check to the list as well.

Jacob’s House: A FLW Usonian

Frank Lloyd Wright was a very influential architect where he became known for the prairie and usonian architecture styles. Usonian designs were differentiated by their flat roofs, stone/brick and wood facades with open living spaces with plenty of windows blurring the line between inside and out. Jacob’s House, which was the first in a series of Usonian styled houses, was built for Herbert Jacob, a newspaperman. This Simple house had an L shaped design and although it was straightforward to construct, it had a simple elegance, making this style famous and imitated by architects the world over.

Cherrywood House: A Little Bit of the Old, A Little Bit of The New

Hello all.


Today i bring you another house, smaller in scale but hopefully still well executed. Cherrywood House is inspired by Penfield House designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. 

Note: I forgot to put in the exact address of this build in bridgeport for the dl'ers. it is a 44x34 lot (silly i know) and if placed in bridgeport should go at 64 Applewood Lane in the Celebrity Neighbourhood up near the retreat community lot. you can place it on a larger lot too

Falling Water: a dedication to the masterpiece

Today i bring you a build very close to my heart, the basis of the house built by Frank Lloyd Wright and was very much ahead of its time. That House is the Falling Water House, and i bring you my version of this beautiful build.

This lot was built following the floor plan but due to some elements not being able to translate into the game (such as the bridge) i took an artistic approach and added my own elements to the design. CAP patterns were used to give it a natural look along with forest vegetation to hide the house away from prying eyes. I designed it specifically for 302 Silverstone way, a 60x60 lot in Bridgeport due to its sloping nature which helped to create the design. It is indeed one of my greatest builds and i hope it does justice to the original.

The house itself has a second floor entry through security gates which blend well into the Fir forest and the natural elegance of the waterfall at the base of the house.

The Modern Escape: A Contemporary Egyptian Home

This new home started off as a a classic Egyptian style build but due to real life it was put on the back burner. after some time left in a WIP 'hood i decided to give it a total overhaul and the new items with the new Late Night EP gave me the final push to finish this home.
