There was a lot of potential with the items that came with the Businesses & Hobbies EP, so after taking some time to recover from burnout, I come back with an unofficial addon for the buymode portion. Hopefully these will fill in some of the voids while offering a bit more variation and usability from the items.
What you need to know:
- REQUIRES BUSINESSES & HOBBIES EP
- there are 2 mirror overrides to allow those items to be adjustable on walls
- there is a default override for the Ingenious Ingar Retail Shelving to make better use of the item
- the counters support small appliances
The Build item/s feature:
- REQUIRES BUSINESS & HOBBIES EP
- 30 non-default items plus 3 default replacements
- all original colour/style options
- colour filter compatible
- Find using the keyword "BHBB" using my tutorial here
- custom thumbnails
- The polycount of each item falls within range of Maxis-created content
Download below. To install, if an archive file, extract using inbuilt extractor or WinZIP for PC or double-click on file for Mac, and place the folder or package files in your mods folder, then look for them in your game.

ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the items from the Businesses & Hobbies expansion pack, and I was so happy to see your additions. Some of the objects EA provided felt a little incomplete, so your work really helps fill in those gaps beautifully.
I'm especially grateful for the matching counters you made to go with the new coffee bar. I've been hoping someone would create them, and seeing your version made my day—thank you so much! If it’s not too much to ask, having a matching island version would make building even more versatile and fun.
There are also a few EA items I’ve been looking for add-ons for, but haven’t been able to find so far. For example:
The Partition of Productivity doesn’t seem to have a one-tile version available anywhere ; Modernist Passage Portal feels a little too small, and unfortunately, there aren’t versions for medium or tall walls(Just Like "The Double Sliding Glass Doors" from Lovestruck have a similar issue with wall height compatibility).
I completely understand if these aren’t on your list, but if you ever consider making add-ons or expanded versions for these, I would be absolutely thrilled and grateful.

Hi! Thanks for the kind comments. In regards to the suggestions, I left the divider as I felt that because it wasn't a seamless one there wasn't any point making it narrower, and the chunkiness doesn't work in favour of that either. The door I haven't touched yet. If I do another addon for buildmode for the other items, if I can do anything with it, it would be included with that
DeleteAlways love and appreciate your add-ons. One thing I noticed though; the 6-chair round table you added (Annular in the Round Table) has a 3x3 footprint. Usually they are 2x2.
ReplyDeleteThat is just the reference footprint from a round table, they must have changed it at some point. But it wont affect the functionality of the table in any way

DeleteI think I see what happened though. The footprint reference I used was with the umbrella, so I will have to change that for the future, but you are right that with the chairs the footprint would indeed be 3x3 so i guess that would help visualise how much space they take up too
