We all know I love windows, but sometimes inspiration doesn't strike. But when it does, boy does an idea come together. When i was making the Island Living addons, I came across the fly screen door and it was the perfect texture to inspire this set. This style has been highly requested, but as people know I need to want it for my game to have any chance of being made. With a texture in place and something I will use, the set was born. Now you can go forth and make screened in porches to your heart's content.
What you need to know:
- All textures are linked to the Short wall height window or door, so if you delete those, you will get the missing texture issue
- Only in short and medium wall heights. I can't see this being used for tall walls, but just use a thick trim if thats your thing.
- When placing diagonal windows, they may (or will) revert to the first swatch colour. Once placed they should revert to the colour you have selected. Seems to be a game bug I cannot fix.
The Build/Buy items feature:
- basegame compatibility
- non-default
- 12 meshes in total with 20 colour/style options:
- find items easily using phrase "Screened-In" in search bar (try this tutorial to easily find my sets)
- style (found under "modern" tag) and colour filter compatible
- custom thumbnails
- Pricing and polycount as follows:
- Single door ($290, 604 polys)
- Double door ($485, 1080 polys)
- Sliding door ($355, 720 polys)
- Counter/Short/Medium Single Window ($60/80/100, 104/200/284 polys)
- Counter/Short/Medium Double window ($70/90/110, 104/348/580 polys)

I have wanted something just like this for years. Awesome job! Keep up the good work! Now I've got to build!
ReplyDeleteLove this <3
ReplyDeleteLOVE THIS SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome and really, really needed in my game (at least, lol). I'm very happy you found both inspiration and a need for them in yours. Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love all your creations! I use all your windows, doors, and furniture in all my saves :)
ReplyDeleteAs i didn't have enough stuff in my cc folder , you go and create amazingness again...
ReplyDeleteThis is great!! Thank you so much for creating and sharing with the community. I can never (and I do mean never) build anything without something of yours in it. I always look to your cc whenever EA's isn't cutting it. I really love the idea of the screened in look. I love to build screened in porches for my sims to sit it during milder weather. I may even use it for my greenhouse, even though in real life, it wouldn't make a bit of sense. You are very talented and the Sims community is lucky to have you creating for us. Thank you again.
ReplyDeleteLove all your content, you make the sims 4 a perfect game.
ReplyDeleteI love this, and have been wanting to make screened-in porches for so long. Thank you so much for creating and sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited about this. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteOh thank you so much for these! I've been wanting these forever!!!! Thanks again and thanks for your great and generous designs! ;)
ReplyDeleteLove this so much, and thank you for keeping it in a style that could be used in traditional country or modern homes!! I can't wait to start using this!
ReplyDeleteCustom Content is much better than EA! I remember when I hated CC and am now so confused why I did! Custom Content creators create thing that EA hasn't even thought of which I like!
ReplyDeleteWow! Love this!!! Thank you so much for your time and effort in creating fabulous content for the Sims 4. You're awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteHey, just wanted to say I love these, but i'm having an issue with the frames clipping over the walls? I'm not in any hurry, I didn't know if you knew that.
ReplyDeleteit was an aesthetic decision to do them full wall height but that does mean they would clip through if below and overhang.
DeleteHound's Head is my favorite house to renovate, so I turned the porch off the dining room into a screened one for "outdoor" dining.
ReplyDeleteI think this is my all-time favorite Sims 4 CC. I use this often and I have missed it!! Thank you for updating it after Maxis' most recent act of ridiculousness!!
ReplyDeleteI am in continuous awe of your talent and coming from a place where screened in porches are a thing that I grew up with. Well, I love this even more. Thank you for all of your contributions.
ReplyDeletelove screened-in porches
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much. My screened porch is my favorite room in my home. Bless you
