Peacemaker On Patreon

After much research, debate, and procrastination, I have opened an account for those that don’t find PayPal the most convenient way to show appreciation for this little hobby of mine. Out of all the options, Patreon fit the criteria the best (Kofi was runner up but it predominantly uses PayPal and Stripe which wasn’t a big enough difference from just donating via PayPal).

I want to make this clear: I pride myself on the fact my content is free, and it will remain that way. I have no interest in making exclusive content or implementing timed releases. I want people to support me because they like what I do and not because they expect something out of it. After all, I do this because I love it and I want that to remain the same. I feel that is the reason my content stands out, and making items to a schedule would suck the fun and creativity out of it.

This will be run as a Pay-What-You-Want, where you are just choosing to freely support me and what I do, regardless of how much you choose to pledge. I may post up early WIPs of projects, or ask for testers if the need arises, but that is as exclusive as it will get.

Anyway, enough rambling. If you are interested the link is below (and added to my blogger and tumble blog). And remember, I will only feel comfortable if the people supporting me are both willing and able to do so. If you aren’t, that is totally cool and just knowing you love my content is enough (along with all the kind messages 😉 )

Stone Floor & Wall Tiles - Chevron and Field Designs

These designs came to me while making Hudson bathroom. I have played around with trying to make chevron tiles before, but they just didn't come out quite right. This attempt actually did. I Then decided to include a simpler field tile because too much chevron can be over the top. So this turned into a mini-set in itself and now it's ready to share with all you lovers of tiles.

Hudson Bathroom - Collection of 31 New Items

I have had the idea to do a more 'industrial' bathroom for quite some time, but the idea never coalesced enough to come reality. I finally found that spark to reignite the idea, and here we are. I wouldn't say this is specifically industrial in style, but the metal takes centre stage in the design. It also has a few new ideas like a separated shower and surround which i thought was ingenious when I saw the idea floating around a few places.

Bamba Seating - Outdoor-Inspired Comfort Set

When I made Rock'n Rockers, the Bamba rocker was a last-minute addition because I fell in love with the design. So much so, I explored adapting the design to a sofa set which I fell equally in love with. I do imagine this more as an outdoor set, but I think it will look equally at home inside. It also looks extra plush which I love as well, and i really don't do enough wood frame designs.

Buildmode Content Update for Post-Patch 1.66

Windows, doors, and arches have been updated to work with the new cutout system allowing more freedom with window placement. You will need to redownload the sets. I advise deleting the original files, then putting the new files in as i have organised the download folders with a new sub folder.

Broken Buildmode Content

A month was the longest I was willing to wait for the batch fix from the S4S team, and that has come and gone. I do appreciate them tackling the immense project with all the variables, but I just can’t afford to wait any longer. Therefore I have made the decision to manually update my sets.

I will not be uploading the sets individually as they are completed, they will be shared in one go when they have all been fixed on my end. I will notify you all again with a masterpost when that has been done, which will be some time next week or the weekend.

Rock’n Rockers - A Collection of 12 Rocking Chairs

When Nifty Knitting came out, the item I was most excited about was the rocking chair. The design wasn't my cup of tea, but the possibilities it brought to the game was something I couldn't ignore. So I went about investigating the tuning to see whether or not it was added to the basegame. To my surprise, it wasn't pack-exclusive (hinting at the possibility that Maxis could add more down the line), meaning I could make some chairs that would be able to work for those with updated games (pre-Nifty Knitting patch) but didn't require the pack. I love when new furniture types are added to basegame, just like the 6 seat round table. Anyway, i got carried away and came up with 12 new designs to give people a bit more variety. Grandma is going to be one stylish rocker in these babies!

Broken Buildmode Content

I am aware of the issue and how long it has been since the update that broke it. I also get that people want the content fixed. However, people greatly underestimate the time and energy required to update said content. It is a tedious process, and requiring a lot of trial and error which is content productive. That is why I have decided to wait for the S4S team to complete their batch fix (and hopefully integrate it into S4S to allow making new buildmode content easier) rather then update manually.

If I had created far fewer items, I would update manually, but my count is well over 400 individual items (and that count is excluding 2 tile variants that are now obsolete). So I ask that people have patience during this time, and please, please, please read my blog before asking if the items have been updated. When I know more, or start updating, you will all be the first to know.

Urbane Kitchen

I am a glutton for punishment, and making another kitchen is testament to that. However, I really love the simple Scandinavian design and had to have it in my game. With a simple pull-drawer design, it will be very versatile without being overtly modern. I have also made a set-only sink for this kitchen since I wanted to do an under-counter mounted farmhouse sink. I love my other countertop designs, but wanted something more inbuilt here, and love the outcome.

Broken Buildmode Content

I am aware that patch 1.66.139.1020 has caused all buildmode items (windows, doors, arches) to become broken and no longer work as intended. I am currently waiting on the S4S team to finish their batch fix as it is not feasible to fix 400+ items individually.

When I update I will be sure to let everyone know.

Nifty Knitting Buymode Expanded - 20 new or edited Items

Courtesy of EA Game Changers, I managed to get early access to the Community-voted Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances I didn't manage to get a review up about what I thought or the potential for addons in the future, so I decided to go ahead and skip a few other packs to get this out of the way (I will be revisiting other more complex packs later). I really loved the premise that a lot of the items are crafted by the sims, but because of that the catalogue felt rather emptier then it actually is. So i decided to do a modest buymode addon to add a few things I felt would add more usability, and fix a few things that bugged me.
What I ended up with was 20 new or edited items. Some decor made from the crafted items (minus the knitted aspects), furniture, and I decided to de-chunkify the rocking chairs to reflect my tastes. All non-default so you can mix and match with the rest of the items. I am also looking into a buildmode addon too, but we shall see how that goes.

Eloise Camelback Seating - 4 New Seating Items

One thing I definitely notice is a lack of classic styles in my catalogue. I do honestly find a lot of it gaudy with overly detailed elements that just make my eyes dizzy taking it in. However, i do think there is a place for cleaned up designs that fit my aesthetic more but could also work in a more classic setting. This is such a set. I have also been attempting a camel-back design for quite some item but always seem to fail modelling it. Although this doesn't have the dip in the back some do, i liked it enough to see it through. I really love the arms myself, gives it a Victorian vibe without all the patterned fabric.

Updated - 6 Seat Round Dining Tables

Seems to have been an update to the table’s rig that caused sims to be unable to clean up food while sitting down. That has now been fixed. Sets with 6-seat round tables are linked below:

  1. Bowling Night Buymode Addon
  2. Atwood Dining
  3. Oasis-Chic Dining
  4. Kingston Dining
  5. Futura Living

StrangerVille Buildmode Expanded - 43 New Objects and 1 Default Replacement

This set was a long time coming, and I am so happy it's done. I love the style StrangerVille went with, since Carpenter Gothic is the often forgotten sibling of Gothic Architecture, and it gave a lot of material to work with since there were clearly three distinct sets. With a bumpy start from the window update that came with Eco Lifestyle postponing it to see how that would affect new objects, it is finally done, and became quite an extensive addon. I will definitely get a lot of use from the unique sets within the Game Pack now that I have more options.

Shrunken Square Coffee Tables - Resized for more Usability

I loved the idea of square coffee tables when they were introduced, but i think everyone can say they are a bit too big. The resizing of them is easy with in-game cheats, but placing things become a pain. I was tired of not getting enough use out of them, so I made some non-default versions that are 75% the original size. They work so much better with my style of decorating, so hopefully you all enjoy them too.
