UPDATED: GTW Window Addons

UPDATE 30/01/2017: I realised I forgot the matching door, so that has now been added to the archive. It is now available in medium wall height and all original swatches.
I was reminded by people on tumblr just how much I liked these windows from GTW, but also how limited their use is. So I set about changing that with some addons in additional sizes and also a medium height version. I am happy with how they turned out and now they are so much more usable then the original alone.

The "Look At All This Stuff!" windows have both a standard and diagonal wall meshes, and both have been edited for the new sizes. The "Sims Are Watching" windows didn't come with a diagonal mesh, but I did see there was an issue with the original cutout, so I included a fix for that too. The textures are also linked (not included in the package) so save file size. If you want to recolour these, you will need to make a selective clone of the original window then import just the window textures into my window edits before cloning.

  • Requires Get To Work
  • 8 original colour options
  • costs for "Look At All This Stuff!" windows:
    - 1 Tile short/medium: $175/$200

UPDATED: The Other Side - New Skin Colours for TS4

UPDATE 30/01/2017 - the Vampire pack added new occult tags which were needed for these skins to be used so they have new been updated. I have also did a little update for the texture and pinkened the lips so they look more natural.
Today I bring you an experiment that came about from the selection of skin colours available in TS4. There is a serious lack of dark skin colours, and the light ones have left a lot to be desired. After a bit of research, diving into the clientfullbuild files, lots of backwards and forwards into the game for testing, hex editing to edit the colour swatches because s4pe threw errors, I finally came up with the lightside and darkside skintones. I could not be more happy with my first, and possibly last foray into the world of TS4 skins. I came away knowing more about the game and some awesome new colours that don't look jaundice or ashy.

These are not new skins, they are new skin colours. They are found by default with Maxis skin colours and act as such. They work with all the Maxis skin details such as muscle slider, age categories, weight sliders and are for both genders and all age groups. They can also be a base for custom overlay skins that you find in the face detail sections. Pictured above (and in the archive) you can see previews from a standard basegame skin settings and with Kijiko's skin overhaul. Hopefully you will all find a use for these like I have in tandem with the other TS4 skin colours. A big shout-out to Snaitf for the tutorial over at Mod The Sims on uncovering the mystery of making non-default skin tones.

The skin colours feature:
  • Basegame compatibility
  • non-default
  • 5 new light skin colours
  • 5 new (desperately needed) dark skintones
  • found in light to dark order after the Maxis tones (refer to preview images)
  • available for all ages and genders (except babies because they are objects)
  • works with kijiko's skin overhaul
  • works with custom skin overlays
These have been made to work with Game Version (game patch prior to GTW release). They may work with the previous game versions, but has not been tested.

Note: Due to TS4's genetics system for choosing skintones and the order and position I placed the skintones to separate them from the Basegame selection, if one of your sims uses one of my skin tones and another uses and Basegame tone, then the genetics system dictates that the tone of the children will be somewhere inbetween. The system does not take into account custom tones, so your babies may have odd colour skin differing from the parents. I only found out about this recently, but you should be aware of it. You can solve this by either have both sims use my skin tones, or editing the children in CAS afterwards. I may look at fixing this in the future, but i would need to determine a way of separating my skins while maintaining the way a genetic offspring's skin colour is chosen.

The archive contains the package file and the colour preview images. Unzip the archive, and put the package file in your mods folder. They will be found under the skin colour section of CAS. I have provided a merged file containing both light and dark sets, as well as individual downloads if you don't need one of the sets.

Lofte Living - Brick Arch Decor Set

This set has been a long time coming. When City Living was first announced I had an idea. That idea was to make a set that would allow me to recreate my dream apartments in San Myshuno with brick arches and that warehouse/brownstone feel. After arduous planning, meshing, then testing, they are finally ready to be shared with you all. These have become some of my favourite decor pieces to use in my builds as they work great inside and out giving a build depth and detail that prior to this was not possible in my game.

Updated Merged Files

Please avoid merged files for the time being as they have not merged correctly when I overwrite files so will contain older, pre-patch content. Please download separated for the time being.

If you have downloaded Mid Century Eclectic, Shaker Kitchen, Serenity Bathroom, Lennox Kitchen and Dining, Hamptons Hideaway, Myra Living, Atwood Dining, and Hamptons Getaway prior to the 24th of January, please redownload those files. There was a bug when merging and overwriting my old files that led to the new merged files not being updated correctly.

Updated Object Sets

I have updated all of my buy mode custom object sets. I managed to get the rest up on simfileshare this morning since i wasn’t getting the upload errors.
If you are unsure that you have updated packages, please check the date created for merged files and the date modified for separated package files (from downloading the archives). If any of them contain files edited in January 2017, then you have updated files. I did not need to update every file so don’t freak out if all of them don’t say they were modified Jan 2017. The amount of edited files varies depending on the set.
If you downloaded files individually there is no way for you to tell if they are new or old so best to redownload any bookcases, seating, counters/islands or items specifically mentioned in the update notes. If you think I have missed updating anything from my custom objects, let me know as soon as possible so I can check it out. I still have addons and recolours to do, which will be next so i am aware of those.
Now time to move onto more updates for my other creations. Yippee

Updated: Hamptons Getaway - Bathroom Addon

Updated 21/01/2017: With the toddler patch breaking a few things, I have taken the opportunity and gone through and updated my sets to fix issues and generally improve on some things. Here, I have updated the makeup mirror so it doesn't give a script error, fixed typos in item names so they are easy to find, and hopefully fixes stackable towels so they don't cause issues when placing and moving/deleting them.
Well my first foray into bathroom sets, Serenity Bathroom, was a huge learning curve. I said to myself I would not make another, but I fooled myself. I really needed a more classic/contemporary style bathroom for my colonial style homes so I had to make one. This is also another example of what I plan to do in the future: build on the basic sets I have already made if inspiration strikes. I have already done that with Atwood Dining, which is an add-on to the living room set of the same name. I am quite proud how it came out and now I have a bathroom for most occasions.

Due to the length of these posts and for ease of updating, you can find the download and info under the cut.

Updated: Myra Living

Updated 21/01/2017: With the toddler patch breaking a few things, I have taken the opportunity and gone through and updated my sets to fix issues and generally improve on some things. Here, I have updated all seating with tags and toddler rigs, updated bookcases for toddlers, and adjusted the shape of the origami chair to look better and cause less clipping with legs.

Yes, another living room set. I love choice and I wanted another modern design to choose from to go with all the mid-century stuff I am building at the moment. This set actually started out with the 3 seat sofa which was a rejected design for the Hamptons Hideaway set which was too good to toss. It also incorporated a stillborn idea for an office set, so I combined the two to create this. I am happy with how it turned out and its now one of my favourite sofa designs for my homes.

UPDATED: Hamptons Hideaway - Living Room Set for TS4

Updated 21/01/2017: With the toddler patch breaking a few things, I have taken the opportunity and gone through and updated my sets to fix issues and generally improve on some things. Here, I have updated all seating with tags and toddler rigs, updated bookcase for toddlers, fixed leaning mirror so it doesn't get script errors, and turned the occasional bench into a love seat so sims can't sit through the sides.
UPDATE 21/07/2016: Set updated for July Lighting patch. Download individual files at the bottom of the post.

With all the building I have been doing in Windenburg, it has shown me just how much I needed to create some more classic-contemporary furniture that could be used in these coastal homes. I love Hamptons design, so I went about creating my own set of furniture and decor inspired by this style. The last classic/contemporary set I made was my Shaker kitchen which this is designed to be used with, along with my Bayside Bedroom. I do plan to make more furniture with less of a modernist feel, and this is the latest set with that goal in mind. I hope you all enjoy it as much as me.

UPDATED: Lennox Kitchen And Dining Set

Updated 21/01/2017: With the toddler patch breaking a few things, I have taken the opportunity and gone through and updated my sets to fix issues and generally improve on some things. Here, I have updated all counter with new tags for toddler interaction, as well as remove the buff from the sink when I used a career reward. I have also tagged and fixed the dining chairs for toddlers and added slots to the top of the open cabinets so it can be used as a buffet.
Update 19/07/2016: I have made the chairs and tables to be compatible with dine out and also fixed the issue where the three pieces of open shelving could not be adjusted all the way to the floor. You can download individual files at the bottom of this post.
As a celebration of my birthday, which I wanted to actually enjoy it this year, I decided to make something specifically to mark the occasion. I also decided to keep it a secret since I couldn't enjoy the surprise myself, others could in my place. So what ended up being an idea morphed into another kitchen, but I wanted something clean and simple, and this is the result. Some may call it dull, or boring, but I am not a flashy person and I find clean lines very appealing.

UPDATED: Serenity Bathroom Set

Updated 22/01/2017: With the toddler patch breaking a few things, I have taken the opportunity and gone through and updated my sets to fix issues and generally improve on some things. Here, I have updated the three broken mirrors so they will work properly in-game now.
UPDATE 18/07/2016: Lighting updated for July patch, I have also fixed the double shower so it no longer gives the routing error when upgrading. You can download individual files at the bottom of this post.
12/04/2016: Pedestal sink missing texture fixed
26/03/2016: Toilet fixed and updated

Well, my new furniture set is finished, and again, i seem to time these right as milestone 'gifts.' Since that really isn't the case because it takes me a while to put these together, this set and all future sets will be labelled as Custom Content Collections. This is my first bathroom, and was about time I actually made one. Little surprise its modern. My bathrooms are mostly modern as I love the tranquil feel it gives a small space.
There is a full set here, and the shower is quite special. I designed it to sit inside the walls so you can have any tile you like without it being obstructed. I have had to do some custom tuning for it to work, and because of this the animation is the same as the tub shower combo but with adjusted heights, so when getting in your sims can sink into the floor a little. It is a pay-off for the design, so be aware of it. You can also put stuff inside the shower without fear of routing issues too. The modern basin also has side cabinets to give you more storage space. Because they are 1/2 tile wide, to properly place press F5 to activate 1/4 tile movement and they will place just fine. I had to separate the solid and wood variations of the sink and cabinets as too many swatches can become an issue in build mode.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this set as much as me :)
