UPDATED - Look At Me! Fireplace and Walls

In this crazy world of choices when it comes to TS4 content, I am giving you so much more! I decided that the fireplaces needed an overhaul (who uses brass these days anyway) and got carried away and came up with these awesome eye catching designs. I love the contemporary look and I hope you do too. I think it is a big improvement over the original and I try to use it as much as I can.

Updated 31 October, 2015: I have added 12 new styles to the fireplace along with fixing a few texture issues. Since this was originally made when S4S couldn't add swatches, the update to the game which allows older content to be used with the style tool was bugged with merged packages, so it will no be fixed. Expect other content to be updated in the near future.
I have also added matching walls using my Classic Wall Set cornices which has been highly requested by many. Due to the nature of the patterns and source material, they are not all perfect as walls and they do have some obvious repetition that cannot be completely removed, but they look awesome in-game in bathrooms, kitchens and wet-areas. There are no matching floors because this sort of tile would not exist as flooring IRL, so they I didn't make any (and the fact some patterns tile over an area greater then a 256x256px canvas). So I hope you enjoy the update :)

The Build/Buy items feature:
  • basegame compatibility
  • non-default
  • 32 fireplace choices (all white with varying feature tile designs)
  • Custom Thumbnails and swatches
  • Costs $1500
The walls feature:
  • basegame compatibility
  • 32 styles
  • Custom thumbnails
  • Walls found in Tile category of Build Mode
  • costs $4
  • All wall heights available
The archive contains the  package file and cover image. Just place in your mods folder and look for them in your game. I hope you enjoy.

    1. Not easily, no. I still have the base files, and it may be possible, but probably only for some and not all due to the source material.

  2. For some reason I'm getting a script error with some of the swatches, also of the patterns that are actually working for me, they don't seem to be as clear and crisp as your other work. The fireplace appears a bit blurry. Is it possible that this fireplace needs to be updated due to some of the game updates? I absolutely love all of your work and would love to add this specific fireplace to my sims home

    1. they are on my list of things to update. I know the script error happens because they are not compatible with the style tool, but i can't say i have encountered any blurry issues besides what is expected from the limited texture size and file format. It may be some time before i can get around to updating them though.

  3. Hi,
I absolutely love all of your custom content, but I can't find any of them in my game. Any ideas why?

    1. make sure your game is up-to-date and that your Mods folder is correctly set up. If this is happening to other custom content, it is a good chance it is your mods folder. Trouble-shooting why content doesn't show up can be tricky since every game/computer is different

    2. What is the correct way to set up the Mods folder?

    3. I'm not good with computers, but would the files being rar Archives have something to do with not being able to see them in the game?

    4. I state at the bottom of each post before the download link that all my files are in archives (so yes, RAR files). These need to be extracted so you can get the package file from them. I do this because I generally put more them one item in a download, so it keeps it all neat. So you have not extracted them, then you will need to do that. WinRAR is a great free program for doing this. Once installed you can simple right click the file and click to extract it.
If you still need to set up your mods folder, Mod The Sims can help you there:
